4、cing.Components identified with the IEC symbolin the parts list are special significance to safety. When replacing a component identified with, use only the replacement parts designated, or parts with the same ratings or resistance, wattage, or voltage that are designated in theparts list in this ma
5、nual. Leakage-current or resistance measurements must be made to determine that exposed parts are acceptablyinsulated from the supply circuit before retuming the product to the customer.Some semiconductor (solid state) devices can be damaged easily by static electricity. Such components commonly are
6、 calledElectrostatically Sensitive (ES) Devices. Examples of typical ES devices are integrated circuits and some field effect transistors andsemiconductor chip components.The following techniques should be used to help reduce the incidence of component damage caused by static electricity.1. Immediat
7、ely before handling any semiconductor component or semiconductor-equipped assembly, drain off any electrostatic charge onyour body by touching a known earth ground. Alternatively, obtain and wear a commercially available discharging wrist strap device,which should be removed for potential shock reas
8、ons prior to applying power to the unit under test.2. After removing an electrical assembly equipped with ES devices, place the assembly on a conductive surface such as aluminum foil, toprevent electrostatic charge build-up or exposure of the assembly.3. Use only a grounded-tip soldering iron to sol
9、der or unsolder ES devices.4. Use only an anti-static solder removal device. Some solder removal devices not classified as anti-static can generate electrical chargessufficient to damage ES devices.5. Do not use freon-propelled chemicals. These can generate electrical change sufficient to damage ES
10、devices.6. Do not remove a replacement ES device from its protective package until immediately before you are ready to install it. (Most replacementES devices are packaged with leads electrically shorted together by conductive foam, aluminum foil or comparable conductive material.)7. Immediately bef
11、ore removing the protective material from the leads of a replacement ES device, touch the protective material to thechassis or circuit assembly into which the device will be installed.Be sure no power is applied to the chassis or circuit, and observe all other safety precautions.8. Minimize bodily m
12、otions when handling unpackaged replacement ES devices. (Otherwise harmless motion such as the brushing togetheror your clothes fabric or the lifting of your foot from a carpeted floor can generate static electricity sufficient to damage an ES devices.CAUTION :Harman KardonAVR 660 -760, 230V Service

It is usually left on, and cannot be turned on or off using the remote control.AVR Settings Button: Press this b
43、utton to access the AVRs main menu.Info Settings Button: Press this button to directly access the AVRs Source Info submenu, which contains the settings for the current source.Resolution: Press this button to access the AVRs video output resolution setting: 480i, 480p, 576i, 720p, 1080i or 1080p.IMPO
44、RTANT NOTE: If the AVRs video output resolution is set higher than the capabilities of the actual connection, you will not see a picture. If the best available video connection from the AVR to the TV is either composite or S-video, press this button and change the resolution to 576i.Audio Effects: P
45、ress this button to directly access the Audio Effects submenu, which allows adjustment of the tone and other audio controls. See the Initial Setup section for more information.Video Modes: Press this button for direct access to the Video Modes submenu, which contains settings that may be used to imp
46、rove the picture, if necessary, after you have adjusted the picture settings using the video display or TV.Surround Modes: Press this button to select a surround sound (e.g., multichannel) mode. The Surround Modes menu will appear on screen, and the menu line will appear in the front-panel display.
