When replacing a component identified with, use only the replacemen

4、t parts designated, or parts with the same ratings or resistance, wattage, or voltage that are designated in theparts list in this manual. Leakage-current or resistance measurements must be made to determine that exposed parts are acceptablyinsulated from the supply circuit before retuming the produ

5、ct to the customer.Some semiconductor (solid state) devices can be damaged easily by static electricity. Such components commonly are calledElectrostatically Sensitive (ES) Devices. Examples of typical ES devices are integrated circuits and some field effect transistors andsemiconductor chip compone

6、nts.The following techniques should be used to help reduce the incidence of component damage caused by static electricity.1. Immediately before handling any semiconductor component or semiconductor-equipped assembly, drain off any electrostatic charge onyour body by touching a known earth ground. Al

7、ternatively, obtain and wear a commercially available discharging wrist strap device,which should be removed for potential shock reasons prior to applying power to the unit under test.2. After removing an electrical assembly equipped with ES devices, place the assembly on a conductive surface such a

8、s aluminum foil, toprevent electrostatic charge build-up or exposure of the assembly.3. Use only a grounded-tip soldering iron to solder or unsolder ES devices.4. Use only an anti-static solder removal device. Some solder removal devices not classified as anti-static can generate electrical chargess

9、ufficient to damage ES devices.5. Do not use freon-propelled chemicals. These can generate electrical change sufficient to damage ES devices.6. Do not remove a replacement ES device from its protective package until immediately before you are ready to install it. (Most replacementES devices are pack

10、aged with leads electrically shorted together by conductive foam, aluminum foil or comparable conductive material.)7. Immediately before removing the protective material from the leads of a replacement ES device, touch the protective material to thechassis or circuit assembly into which the device w

11、ill be installed.Be sure no power is applied to the chassis or circuit, and observe all other safety precautions.8. Minimize bodily motions when handling unpackaged replacement ES devices. (Otherwise harmless motion such as the brushing togetheror your clothes fabric or the lifting of your foot from

13、 customer and service technician.LEAKAGE CURRENT CHECKMeasure leakage current to a known earth ground (waterpipe, conduit, etc.) by connecting a leakage current testerbetween the earth ground and all exposed metal parts of theappliance (input/output terminals, screwheads, metaloverlays, control shaf

14、t, etc.). Plug the AC line cord of theappliance directly into a 120V AC 60Hz outlet and turn theAC power switch on. When the switch is pressedin, t

26、he unit is in a Standby mode, as indicated by theamber Power Indicator 2 above the Standby/OnSwitch 3. This button MUST be pressed in tooperate the unit. To turn the unit off and prevent theuse of the remote control, this switch should bepressed until it pops out from the front panel and theword “OF

27、F” is seen at the top of the switch.NOTE: This switch is normally left in the “ON” position.2 Power Indicator: This LED lights amber when theunit is in the Standby mode to signal that the AVR isready to be turned on.When the unit is in operation,the indicator is blue.3 Standby/On Switch: When the Ma

28、in PowerSwitch 1 is “ON,” press this button to turn on theAVR 335; press it again to turn the unit off.The PowerIndicator 3 turns blue when the unit is on.4 Headphone Jack: This jack may be used to listento the AVR 335s output through a pair of headphones.The speakers will automatically be turned of

29、f when theheadphone jack is in use.When configuring your sys-tem using EzSet+, the calibration microphone shouldbe plugged into this jack using the supplied adaptorthat converts the small mini-plug at the end of themicrophones cord to a 1/4 plug.5 Tone Mode: Pressing this button enables or dis-ables

30、 the Bass and Treble tone controls.When the but-ton is pressed so that TONE IN appears in theLower Display Line , the Bass and Treble controls may be used to adjust the output signals.When the button is pressed once or twice so that thewords TONE OUT appear in the Lower DisplayLine , the output sign

31、al will be “flat, ” no matter howthe actual Bass and Treble Controls areadjusted.6 Speaker Select Button: Press this button tobegin the process of configuring the unit to match thetype of speakers used in your listening room. 38、isdigital or analog. For example, press the SurroundMode Group Selector 7 to select a mode groupingsuch as Dolby or Logic 7, and then press this buttonto see the specific mode choices available. For moreinformation on mode selection, see page 28.9 Tuning Selector: Press the left side of the buttonto

39、 tune lower-frequency stations and the right side ofthe button to tune higher-frequency stations.When thetuner is in the Manual mode, each tap will increase ordecrease the frequency by one increment.When thetuner receives a strong enough signal for adequatereception, MANUAL TUNED will appear in theo

40、n-screen display and the Lower Display Line.When the tuner is in the Auto mode, press the buttononce, and the tuner will scan for a station with accept-able signal strength.When the next station with astrong signal is tuned the scan will stop andthe on-screen display and the Lower Display Linewillin
