When replacing a component identified with, use only the replacement parts designated, or parts with the same ratings or resistance, wattage, or voltage that are designated in theparts list in this manual. Leakage-current or resistance measurements must be made to determine t

5、hat exposed parts are acceptablyinsulated from the supply circuit before retuming the product to the customer.Some semiconductor (solid state) devices can be damaged easily by static electricity. Such components commonly are calledElectrostatically Sensitive (ES) Devices. Examples of typical ES devi

6、ces are integrated circuits and some field effect transistors andsemiconductor chip components.The following techniques should be used to help reduce the incidence of component damage caused by static electricity.1. Immediately before handling any semiconductor component or semiconductor-equipped as

7、sembly, drain off any electrostatic charge onyour body by touching a known earth ground. Alternatively, obtain and wear a commercially available discharging wrist strap device,which should be removed for potential shock reasons prior to applying power to the unit under test.2. After removing an elec

8、trical assembly equipped with ES devices, place the assembly on a conductive surface such as aluminum foil, toprevent electrostatic charge build-up or exposure of the assembly.3. Use only a grounded-tip soldering iron to solder or unsolder ES devices.4. Use only an anti-static solder removal device.

9、 Some solder removal devices not classified as anti-static can generate electrical chargessufficient to damage ES devices.5. Do not use freon-propelled chemicals. These can generate electrical change sufficient to damage ES devices.6. Do not remove a replacement ES device from its protective package

10、 until immediately before you are ready to install it. (Most replacementES devices are packaged with leads electrically shorted together by conductive foam, aluminum foil or comparable conductive material.)7. Immediately before removing the protective material from the leads of a replacement ES devi

11、ce, touch the protective material to thechassis or circuit assembly into which the device will be installed.Be sure no power is applied to the chassis or circuit, and observe all other safety precautions.8. Minimize bodily motions when handling unpackaged replacement ES devices. (Otherwise harmless

25、urrounded by amber lighting.When the unit is on,the lighting around the button is blue.2 Surround Mode Group Selector: Press this but-ton to select the top-level group of surround modes.Each press of the button will select one of the sur-round mode categories. Once the button is pressed sothat the n

26、ame of the desired surround mode categoryappears in the on-screen display and in the LowerDisplay Line $, press the Surround ModeSelector 3 to cycle through the individual modesavailable. For example, press this button to selectDolby modes, and then press the Surround ModeSelector 3 to choose from t

27、he various modeoptions.3 Surround Mode Selector: Press this button to select from among the available surround modeoptions for the surround mode category selected.The specific modes will vary based on the number ofspeakers available, the surround mode category andwhether the input source is digital

28、or analog. Forexample, press the Surround Mode Group Selector2 to select a category such as Dolby or Logic 7,and then press this button to see the specific modechoices that are available. For more information onmode selection, see page 35.4 Tuning Selector: Press the left side of the buttonto tune l

29、ower-frequency stations and the right side ofthe button to tune higher-frequency stations.When the tuner is in the MANUAL/MONO mode,each tap of the selector will increase or decrease thefrequency by one increment.When the tuner receivesa strong-enough signal for adequate reception,MANUAL TUNED will

30、appear in the LowerDisplay Line $ and in the on-screen display.Whenthe tuner is in the AUTO/STEREO mode,press the button once, and the tuner will scan for astation with acceptable signal strength.When the nexthigher- or lower-frequency station with a strong-enough signal is tuned, the frequency scan

31、 will stopand the Lower Display Line $ and the on-screendisplay will indicate AUTO TUNED.When an FMStereo station is tuned, the display will read AUTOST TUNED. See page 39 for more informationon using the tuner.5 Tuner Band Selector: Pressing this button willswitch to the Tuner mode. Pressing it aga

32、in will switchbetween the AM and FM frequency bands. (See page39 for more information on the tuner.)6 Preset Stations Selector: Press this button toscroll up or down through the list of stations that havebeen entered into the preset memory. (See page 39for more information on tuner programming.)7 In

33、put Source Selector: Press this button tochange the input by scrolling up or down through thelist of input sources.8 Tuner Mode Selector: Press this button to selectAuto or Manual tuning.When the button is pressed sothat AUTO/STEREO appears in the UpperDisplay Line #, the tuner will search for the n

34、extstation with an acceptable signal when the TuningSelector 5wis pressed.When the button is pressed so that MANUAL/MONO appears in the Upper Display Line #, each press of theTuning Selector 5wwill increase the fre-quency. (See page 39 for more information on usingthe tuner.) This button may also be

35、 used to switchbetween Stereo and Mono modes for FM radio recep-tion.When weak reception is encountered, select theMANUAL/MONO tuning mode. Press and holdagain to switch back to AUTO/STEREOmode. (See page 39 for more information on usingthe tuner.)9 Front-Panel Control Door: To open the door sothat

36、the front-panel jacks and controls behind this doormay be accessed, gently push the door down andtoward you, using either lower corner of the door.) Volume Control: Turn this knob clockwise toincrease the volume, counterclockwise to decrease thevolume. If the AVR 7300 is muted, adjusting the vol-ume

37、 control will automatically release the unit from thesilenced condition.! Input Indicators: One of these indicators will lightto identify the currently selected input. Note that theentire list will light briefly each time the unit is turnedon, as a test. Speaker/Channel Input Indicators: These indi-

38、cators are multipurpose, indicating both the speakertype selected for each channel and the number ofaudio channels available.The speaker indicators lightas a single outline around the speaker position indica-tor when a “small” speaker is selected and as a largericon with three connected boxes when “

39、large” speak-ers are selected.When only the speaker position let-ters appear, no speaker has been assigned to thatposition. (See page 26 for more information on con-figuring speakers.) The letters inside each box alsoindicate the active input channels. For standard analoginputs, only the L and R wil

40、l light, indicating a stereoinput. For a digital source, the indicators will light todisplay the channels being received at the digital input.When the letters flash, the digital input has been inter-rupted and an UNLOCK message may appear inthe Lower Display Line $. (See page 38 for moreinformation

41、on the Channel Indicators.)# Upper Display Line: Depending on the unitsstatus, a variety of messages will appear here. In normal operation, this line will show the current inputsource and identify whether an analog or digital inputis in use.When the tuner is selected as the input, thisline will iden

42、tify the station as AM or FM and show thefrequency and preset number, if any.$ Lower Display Line: Depending on the unitsstatus, a variety of messages will appear here. In nor-mal operation, the current surround mode will appearon this line.% Surround Mode Indicators: One of these indicators will li

43、ght to show the surround mode in use. Depending on the specific combination of inputsources and surround mode selected, more than one indicator may light. (See page 35 for more information.) Remote Sensor Window: The sensor behindthis window receives infrared signals from the remotecontrol.Aim the r

47、 the unit.To turn the unit off andprevent the use of the remote control, this switchshould be pressed until it pops out from the frontpanel so that the word “OFF” may be read at the topof the switch.NOTE: This switch is normally left in the “ON” position.Headphone Jack: This jack may be used toliste

48、n to the AVR 7300s output through a pair ofheadphones. Be certain that the headphones have astandard 1/4 stereo phone plug, or that you use anadapter, as needed, to convert the plug on your head-phones to the 1/4 jack used on the AVR.When theheadphone jack is in use, the main room speakers willautom

49、atically be turned off and the unit will output astandard stereo signal.You may also use one of theDolby Headphone modes for an enhanced listeningexperience. For more information on headphone lis-tening, see page 35.Tone Mode Button: This button controls thetone mode settings, enabling adjustment of

50、 the bassand treble boost/cut.You may also use it to take thetone controls out of the signal path completely for“flat” response.The first press of the button displays aTONE MODE message in the Lower DisplayLine $ and in the on-screen display.To take thecontrols out of the signal path, press either o
