Therefore,it is recommended to separate the power amplifier sectionand the switching power su
29、pply section for the repair work.1. Separating power amplifier sectionand switching power supply sectionDisconnect CB4 and CB5 of the MAIN (1) P.C.B.,thereby the power amplifier section and the switchingpower supply section will be separated.2. Repairing power amplifier (MAIN (1)P.C.B.)Described bel
30、ow is the method to diagnose trouble ofthe major parts.FET (Q29, Q30, Q34, Q35, Q4144)Check the resistance between G and S to determine ifany trouble exists.If a trouble has occurred, the G-S resistance shouldindicate a value close to 0.If no trouble exists, the G-S resistance value should beas foll

Repairing switching power supplysection (POWER (1) P.C.B.)To avoid possible danger:C102 and
38、C103 are dangerous, for a high voltage isretained there even after the power is turned off.Before the repair work, connect about 100 5Wresistance between terminals of the capacitor to forceddischarging.After the repair work, also perform forced dischargingby connecting about 100 5W resistance betwee
39、nterminals of the capacitor.Replacing faulty partsDescribed below is the method to diagnose trouble ofthe major parts.Transistors (Q51, 52)If a trouble exists, the C-E resistance value should beclose to 0.Operation check1) Connect the probe of the oscilloscope between TP3and TP4.2) Turn on the POWER
40、 switch.3) Turn on the STAND/BY switch. RY2 turns on and theSW power source is activated.4) Check the waveform on the oscilloscope.5) About 12 seconds later, RY2 turns off and thewaveform on the oscilloscope disappears at thesame time.This does not mean any abnormality but indicatesthat the protecti
41、on circuit is at work because CB5 isdisconnected.In order to check this, connect CB5 and turn on theSTANDBY/ON switch. Then RY2 turns on and theSW power source is activated. Watch the waveformon the oscilloscope to check that RY2 does not turnoff.After operation checkBe sure to turn off the POWER sw

45、diagram according to the following procedure.Devices requiredSignal generator (100Hz sine wave)8 or 6 load resistorOscilloscope (dual trace type)Connection1) Connect the output signal from the signal generator tothe L/MONO terminal.2) Disconnect the connector terminal connected to thespeaker unit an
46、d reconnect it to the load resistor.3) Connect the HOT side of the oscilloscope CH1 probe tothe point A or B indicated in the figure and the GND sideto the GND of the main unit.4) Connect the oscilloscope CH2 input to the red side ofthe connector cable, which is connected with the loadresistor.At th
47、is time, the GND terminal of CH2 must be leftunconnected.Setting1) Set the signal generator to the sine wave, 100Hz andminimum output level settings.2) Turn on the power to YST-SW1500.3) Adjust the output level of the signal generator and thevolume of YST-SW1500 so that the output levelobserved at o
