2、capability of being upgraded through the serial port using a personal computer.The software is compatible with Windows 95, 98, ME, NT4, 2000, and XP.Locate the RS-232 port shown here on the rear panel of the unit. Use a RS-232 (serial) cable to connect your PC to the back of the unit to be upgraded. Itdoes not matter which COM

4、 port of your PC that you attach it to.2. Turn the unit on.3. Run the upgrade program on your PC.4. Click on the button on the software.5. The software will auto-detect the unit and the COM port that its on. If this stage fails,please ensure that that the serial cable is attached properly to both th

5、e PC and the unit, andthat the unit is powered on.6. Please do not shut off power to the unit during the upgrade process, unless instructed toby the program.7. Follow directions as per the program. Note that depending on the type of micro-controllerinside the unit, you may have to turn the unit off

6、and then back on by using the power switchat the back, at certain times, as instructed to by the program.8. Once the unit has been upgraded successfully, please power the unit off using the powerswitch at the back.9. In order to ensure that the unit operates properly, please do a reset of the unit.

7、First turnthe power to ON (not STANDBY). The unit is reset by holding down VIDEO and TONEDEFEAT buttons simultaneously for North American (AH) units, VIDEO and TONECONTROL for European (C) units.10.
