8、rrent to a known earth ground(water pipe, conduit, etc.) by connecting a leakagecurrent tester such as Simpson Model 229-2 orequivalent between the earth ground and all exposedmetal parts of the appliance (input/output terminals,screwheads, metal overlays, control shaft, etc.). Plugthe AC line cord

9、of the appliance directly into a 120VAC 60 Hz outlet and turn the AC power switch on. Laser Interlock MechanismThe position of the switch (S1) for detecting loadingcompletion is detected by the system microprocessor, andthe design prevents laser diode oscillation when the switchis not in LPS1 terminal side (

15、when the mechanism is notclamped and LPS1 signal is high level.) Thus, the interlockwill no longer function if the switch is deliberately set to LPS1terminal side. ( if LPS1 signal is low level ).In the test mode the interlock mechanism will not function.Laser diode oscillation will continue, if pin

16、 33 of CXA1782CQ(IC101) on the MOTHER BOARD ASSY is connected toGND, or pin 43 of IC701 (LDON) is connected to low level(ON), or else the terminals of Q101 are shorted to eachother (fault condition).2.
