Leakage Current Measurement (For 120V Models Only)When service has been completed, it is imperative to verify that all exposed conductive surfaces are proper

13、ly insulated from supply circuits. 14、ead free solder.Among some types of lead free solder currently available, it is recommended to use one of the following types for the repair work. Sn + Ag + Cu (tin + silver + copper) Sn + Cu (tin + copper) Sn + Zn + Bi (tin + zinc + bismuth)Caution:As the melting point temperature of the lead free

15、solder is about 30C to 40C (50F to 70F) higher than that of the lead solder, be sure to use a soldering iron suitable to each solder. TO SERVICE PERSONNEL Leakage current must not exceed 0.5mA. During this time (5-10 sec.

20、) the laser may radiate through the lens of the laser pick-up unit. Do not attempt any servicing during this period!If no disc is detected, the laser will stop emitting the beam. When a disc is loaded, you will not be ex-posed to any laser emissions.2) The laser power level can be adjusted with the

21、VR on the pick-up PWB, however, this level has been set by the factory prior to shipping from the factory. Do not adjust this laser level control unless instruction is provided elsewhere in this manual. Adjustment of this control can increase the laser emission level from the device.1) 取外 STANDBY/ON

Such components commonly are called Electrostatically Sensitive (ES) De

26、vices. Examples of typical ES devices are integrated circuits and some field-effect transistors and semiconductor “chip” components. The following techniques should be used to help reduce the incidence of component damage caused by electro static discharge (ESD).1. Immediately before handling any se

27、miconductor component or semiconductor-equipped assembly, drain off any ESD on your body by touching a known earth ground. Alternatively, obtain and wear a commercially available discharging ESD wrist strap, which should be removed for potential shock reasons prior to applying power to the unit unde

28、r test.2. After removing an electrical assembly equipped with ES devices, place the assembly on a conductive surface such as aluminum foil, to prevent electrostatic charge buildup or exposure of the assembly.3. Use only a grounded-tip soldering iron to solder or unsolder ES devices.4. Use only an an

29、ti-static solder removal device. Some solder removal devices not classified as “anti-static (ESD protect-ed)” can generate electrical charge sufficient to damage ES devices.5. Do not use freon-propelled chemicals. These can generate electrical charges sufficient to damage ES devices.6. Do not remove

30、 a replacement ES device from its protective package until immediately before you are ready to install it. (Most replacement ES devices are packaged with leads electrically shorted together by conductive foam, aluminum foil or comparable conductive material).7. Immediately before removing the protec

31、tive material from the leads of a replacement ES device, touch the protective material to the chassis or circuit assembly into which the device will be installed.CAUTION: Be sure no power is applied to the chassis or circuit, and observe all other safety precautions.8. Minimize bodily motions when h

32、andling unpackaged replacement ES devices. (Otherwise harmless motion such as brushing together of your fabric clothes or lifting of your foot from a carpeted floor can generate static electricity (ESD) sufficient to damage an ES device).Grounding for electrostatic breakdown prevention1. Human body

33、grounding.Use the antistatic wrist strap to discharge the static electricity from your body.2. Work table grounding.Put a conductive material (sheet) or steel sheet on the area where the optical pickup is placed and ground the sheet.Caution:The static electricity of your clothes will not be grounded

34、 through the wrist strap. So take care not to let your clothes touch the optical pickup.
