Leakage Current Measurement (For 120V Models Only)When service has been completed, it is imperative to verify that all exposed conductive surfaces are properly insulated from supply circuits. Meter impedance should be equival

19、NDBY/ON SW is turned to the “ON” position, the laser component will emit a beam for several seconds to detect if a disc is present. During this time (5-10 sec.) the laser may radiate through the lens of the laser pick-up unit. Do not attempt any servicing during this period!If no disc is detected, t
20、he laser will stop emitting the beam. When a disc is loaded, you will not be exposed to any laser emissions.2) The laser power level can be adjusted with the VR on the pick-up PWB, however, this level has been set by the factory prior to shipping from the factory. Do not adjust this laser level cont
21、rol unless instruction is provided elsewhere in this manual. 22、he Optical Pick-up Block.Laser Diode PropertiesThe primary side of the power supply carries live mains voltage when the player is connected to the mains even when the player is switched off !This primary area is not shielded so it is possible to accidentally touch copper tracks and/or components whe
23、n servicing the player.Service personnel have to take precautions to prevent touching this area or components in this area.Note:The screws on the DVD mechanism may never be touched, removed or re-adjusted.Handle the DVD mechanism with care when the unit has to be exchanged!The DVD mechanism is very
24、sensitive for dropping or giving shocks.Warning for power supply4CD-S300CD-S300Some semiconductor (solid state) devices can be damaged easily by static electricity. Such components commonly are called Electrostatically Sensitive (ES) Devices. Examples of typical ES devices are integrated circuits an
25、d some field-effect transistors and semiconductor “chip” components. The following techniques should be used to help reduce the incidence of component damage caused by electrostatic discharge (ESD).1. Immediately before handling any semiconductor component or semiconductor-equipped assembly, drain o
26、ff any ESD on your body by touching a known earth ground. Alternatively, obtain and wear a commercially available discharging ESD wrist strap, which should be removed for potential shock reasons prior to applying power to the unit under test.2. After removing an electrical assembly equipped with ES
27、devices, place the assembly on a conductive surface such as aluminum foil, to prevent electrostatic charge buildup or exposure of the assembly.3. Use only a grounded-tip soldering iron to solder or unsolder ES devices.4. Use only an anti-static solder removal device. Some solder removal devices not
28、classified as “anti-static (ESD protected)” can generate electrical charge sufficient to damage ES devices.5. Do not use freon-propelled chemicals. These can generate electrical charges sufficient to damage ES devices.6. Do not remove a replacement ES device from its protective package until immedia
29、tely before you are ready to install it. (Most replacement ES devices are packaged with leads electrically shorted together by conductive foam, aluminum foil or comparable conductive material).7. Immediately before removing the protective material from the leads of a replacement ES device, touch the
30、 protective material to the chassis or circuit assembly into which the device will be installed.CAUTION: Be sure no power is applied to the chassis or circuit, and observe all other safety precautions.8. Minimize bodily motions when handling unpackaged replacement ES devices. (Otherwise harmless mot
31、ion such as brushing together of your fabric clothes or lifting of your foot from a carpeted floor can generate static electricity (ESD) sufficient to damage an ES device).Grounding for electrostatic breakdown prevention1.
