15、 inside the enclosure of this product, wash your handsbefore handling food.Laser Emitting conditions:1) When the Top Cover is removed, and the STANDBY/ON SW is turned to the ON position, the laser component willemit a beam for several seconds to detect if a disc is present. During this time (5-10 se

16、c.) the laser may radiate throughthe lens of the laser pick-up unit. Do not attempt any servicing during this period!If no disc is detected, the laser will stop emitting the beam. When a disc is loaded, you will not be exposed to any laseremissions.2) The laser power level can be adjusted with the V

17、R on the pick-up PWB, however, this level has been set by the factoryprior to shipping from the factory. Do not adjust this laser level control unless instruction is provided elsewhere in thismanual. Adjustment of this control can increase the laser emission level from the device.THE DVD AUDIO/VIDEO

After installing the new part, remove the short circuit according to the correctprocedure in this service manual.2. Do

28、not use a tester to check the laser diode in the optical pickup. The power supply in the tester will damage thelaser diode.3. Handling Precautions for the Traverse Unit (Optical Pickup)1. Handle the traverse unit (optical pickup) gently, as it is an extremely high-precision assembly.2. The flexible
