8、g the DVD600 (with the DCR600)The DVD600 can play discs in the following formats: Both 5-inch (12cm) and 3-inch (8cm) discs CD audio discs DTS audio discs CD-RW audio discs DVD movie discs VCD video compact discsHowever, it cannot play: DVD discs with a Region Code other than 1or All DVD discs using

9、 PAL format video DVD-ROM data discs DVD-RAM discs CD-R discs CD-I discs CD-G discs SVCD discs Photo CD discs MP3 audio discsPress the DVD600s Power Switchsothat it latches and the Status Indicatorturns amber, indicating that the unit is in theStandby mode. Turn the unit on by pressingeither the Pow

10、er On Button b on theremote or the Open/Close ButtonorPlay Buttonon the front panel. TheStatus Indicatorwill turn green.Open the DVD600s drawer, and insert up to 5 discs in the tray locations, using the DiscSkip Buttonto rotate the carouselto access all locations. Make sure each disc isloaded with t

11、he label side up, and that it isseated correctly in its location.When you close the drawer, the DVD600 willautomatically start playing the first disc it rec-ognizes, whether it is a CD or DVD disc.However, whichever type of disc is playing,make sure that you have selected DVD as theinput source on t

12、he DCR600 by pressing d onthe remote, or ! on the front panel of thereceiver until DVD is indicated.For most discs, the DVD600 and DCR600 willautomatically select the correct surround mode.To make sure that audio in the DTS audio formatis correctly processed, you must choose that for-mat as the defa

13、ult in the DVD600s setup menu.Simply stop play of the disc, and enter the setupmenu by pressing z on the remote. Use the/Buttons yto scroll down toDigital Audio Output. Press the Set Buttonto select this option, and a screen will popup, allowing you to choose from PCM, DolbyDigital or DTS outputs. U

14、se the /Buttons yto highlight DTS, then press the Set Buttonto select this choice. Youdo not need to reset the audio output for otherformats. The DCR600 and DVD600 will automat-ically process PCM, Dolby Digital and DTS sig-nals correctly. Press the Menu Button z toexit the menu screen. If you press

15、the MenuButton z while the disc is playing, you canaccess the discs menu to choose the DTS for-mat there as well.You may wish to experiment with surroundmodes other than Dolby Digital and DTS usingthe DCR600s functions. Press the SurroundMode Selector t7 to scroll through suchchoices as Dolby Pro Lo

16、gic, Dolby 3 Stereo, 5-Channel Stereo, Hall, Theater, VMAx, Logic 7or Surround Off (Stereo). See page 52 fordescriptions of these modes.Press the Stop Buttononce to enterResume mode, in which play will resume fromthe point where it was stopped. Pressing theStop Buttontwice will cause play toresume f

17、rom the beginning of the disc, or thediscs main menu.You may wish to listen to the tracks of a CD, orview the chapters of a DVD, in a different orderthan they appear on the disc. The Random function will play all of the trackson one CD, or all of the chapters on one DVD, ina random order selected by

18、 the DVD600. TheDVD600 does not randomly play selections fromall five discs inserted in its tray, since this mightresult in the odd experience of alternating amongaudio tracks and disjointed video selections.Simply press the Random Buttononce tostart random play, and press it again to return tostand

19、ard play, using the discs main menu.The DVD600 offers several variations of RepeatPlay: Repeat All discs in the unit once; Repeat1 Disc until play is manually stopped; RepeatTitle on a DVD disc until play is manuallystopped; Repeat Track/Chapter on either a CDor DVD disc until play is manually stopp

20、ed; andRepeat AB, which repeats a programmedselection until play is manually stopped. Press the Repeat Buttonto scroll throughthe repeat choices. Repeat play can be stoppedby pressing the Repeat ButtonuntilRepeat Off is selected, or by pressing the StopButtontwice.Program the Repeat AB function whil

21、e a disc isplaying. Press the Repeat AB Buttonatthe start of the passage to be repeated, andpress it again at the end of the passage. Thepassage will continue to play until the StopButtonis pressed.You can also program play lists of selectedtracks or chapters. 1. Select the DVD600 by pressing the DV

22、DButton d, and press the Program Buttonto bring up the Program Edit Screen. 2. Use the /ykeys to select a discnumber, and press either Setor to enter the selection and move to the nextoption. 3. Use the /ykeys to select a track(for a CD) or title (for a DVD), and press eitherSetor to enter the selec

23、tion andmove to the next option. If “99” appears, itmeans the DVD600 has not read the disc yetto determine whether it is a CD or DVD.4. For DVDs only, use the same procedure toenter a chapter.5. The next choice is to add the selection to theplay list by pressing the Set Button. 6. Repeat Steps 25 to

24、 enter up to 25 selectionsinto the play list.7. Play the list by using the arrow keys to high-light the Play selection, and the Set Buttonto begin play. Press the Stop Buttontwice to stop playback of the list. Tocancel the list, press the Clear Button.8. To delete a selection, highlight the item to

25、bedeleted, press the Set Button, and thenuse the /ykeys to choose theDelete Button. Press the Set Buttonagain to delete it. Alternatively, highlight theitem and press the Clear Buttontodelete it.9. Insert an entry by highlighting the item in theplay list at the point of insertion, pressing theSet Bu

26、tton, and using the keyonce to select the Insert option. Follow Steps2 through 5 above to enter the new selection.You may also edit an entry by pressing theCheck Buttontwice to step throughthe items in a play list. Use the /keys to choose a disc, track or chapter to beedited, and the /ykeys to makea

27、 change.This completes the quick setup and operation ofyour JBL Cinema ProPack 600 system. 28、D10D6D2D1D4DVD600 Front Panel ControlsPower Switch: Press to apply power tothe DVD600. When the unit is first turned on,the Status Indicator will turn amber,indicating that it is in Standby mode. To turnthe unit on, press the Open/Close Buttonor Play Button, or use the remotecontrol to select DVD d,

29、 and then power theunit on b.Status Indicator: When the DVD600 isin the On mode, this indicator will glow green.When the unit is in Standby, the indicator willglow amber.Disc Tray: Holds up to five DVD or CDdiscs that can be played one at a time in theDVD600.Disc Skip: Press to change the discbeing

30、played. Each press of the button willmove the tray forward to the next occupiedposition in the tray, skipping over the emptydisc positions.Search Forward/Reverse: Press tomove forward or backward through a disc atone of four speeds. Each press and release willincrease the search speed, as indicated

31、in theon-screen display. Once you have selected thedesired speed, release the button and the discwill continue to search at fast speed. Toresume normal playback speed, press the Playbutton. Open/Close Button: Press to open orclose the Disc Tray .Skip Forward/Reverse: Press to moveforward or backward

32、 through the music tracksor chapters on a disc.Stop: Press once to place the disc in theResume mode, which means that playback willstop, but (as long as the tray is not opened orthe disc changed) DVD playback will continuefrom the same point on the disc when the Playbutton is pressed again. Resume w

33、ill also workif the unit was turned off. To stop a disc andhave play start from the beginning, press thebutton twice.Pause: Press to momentarily pauseplayback. To resume playback, press the buttonagain, or press the Play Button . If aDVD is playing, action will freeze and a stillpicture will be disp

34、layed when the button ispressed. Play: Press to begin playback of a disc,or to resume playback after the Pause Buttonhas been pressed.Direct Access Buttons: Press one ofthese buttons to play any of the five discsloaded in the Disc Tray.Information Display: This display con-tains a variety of indicat

35、ors that provide infor-mation about the status of the DVD600 and thedisc currently playing.Display Dim: Press this button to adjustthe brightness of the Information Display by50% or to turn the display off completely in thefollowing order: FULL BRIGHTNESS HALFBRIGHTNESS OFF FULL BRIGHTNESS.Remote Se

36、nsor: The sensor thatreceives the infrared commands from theremote control is behind this area. The indicator for the disc inplay flashes. Note th

38、at if a disc is added to, orremoved from, the tray while a disc is playing,the indicator will not show the change until alldiscs are cycled. Title: Shows the DVD title number cur-rently playing.Chapter/Track Number: Shows the current chapter (DVD) or current track number (CD).Program Time: Shows the

39、 running timeof a DVD or current track time, time remainingin the current track, or the total remaining timeof a CD. NOTE: The Program Time Indicators will alsodisplay text messages about the DVD600s sta-tus, including Reading when a disc isloading, Bye when the unit is turned off, andDisc Error whe

40、n a disc not compatiblewith the DVD600 is put into the play position. Intro: Lights when the Intro Scan functionis active.Program: Lights during programming.Repeat: Lights to indicate any of theRepeat modes.Random: Lights when the unit is in theRandom Play mode.Resume: Lights when the Stop button ha

41、sbeen pressed once to put the unit in theResume mode.Playback Mode: Lights to show the cur-rent playback mode: Lights when a disc is playing in the Normalmode. Lights when the disc is in the Fast SearchForward mode. For DVDs, when both trianglesglow steadily, the disc plays at 2x normalspeed. When t

42、he right triangle is flashing, thedisc plays at 4x normal speed. When the lefttriangle is flashing, the disc plays at 8x normalspeed. When both triangles are flashing, thedisc plays at 16x normal speed. For CDs, onlythe first three Fast Search modes are available. Lights when the disc is paused. Lig

43、hts when the disc is in the Fast SearchReverse mode. For DVDs, when both trianglesglow steadily, the disc plays at 2x normalspeed.
