PREPARATION FOR SERVICINGThe Pickup Head consists of a laser diode that is very susceptible to externa

17、l static electricity.Although it may operate properly after replacement, if subjected to electrostatic discharge during replacement, itslife may be shortened. When replacing the laser diode, LSIs and ICs, use a conductive mat, soldering iron withground wire, etc. to protect against damage from stati

40、RVICINGElectronic parts are susceptible to static electricity and may easily damaged, so do not forget to take a proper ground-ing treatment as required.Many screws are used inside the unit. To prevent missing, dropping, etc. of the screws, always use a magnetizedscrewdriver in servicing. Several ki

41、nds of screws are used and some of them need special cautions. That is, take careof the tapping screws securing molded parts and fine pitch screws used to secure metal parts. If they are used improp-erly, the screw holes will be easily damaged and the parts can not be fixed.1. REPLACEMENT OF MECHANI
