A Multi Session CD is a CD having multiple sessions, with each segment from Lead-in to Lead-out regarded as a single session.Notes on CD-R and CD-RW Some CD-Rs or CD-RWs cannot

19、be played on this system depending upon the recording quality or physical condition of the disc, or the characteristics of the recording device. Furthermore, the disc will not play if it has not been correctly finalized. For more information, see the operating instructions for the recording device.

20、Discs recorded on CD-R/CD-RW drives may not be played back because of scratches, dirt, recording condition or the drivers characteristics. CD-R and CD-RW discs recorded in packet write format are not supported. CD-R and CD-RW discs that have not ended by “closing the session” are not supported. The

21、system may be unable to play MP3 format files that do not have the “.MP3” extension. Attempting to play non-MP3 format files that have the “.MP3” extension may result in noise or malfunction. With formats other than ISO9660 Level 1, Joliet and Romeo, folder names or file names may not be displayed c

The following discs take a longer time to start playback. a disc recorded with complicated tree structure. a disc recorded in Multi Session. a disc to which data can be added (non-finalized disc).Music discs encoded withcopyright protection technologiesThis product is designed to playback

23、discs that conform to the Compact Disc (CD) standard. Recently, various music discs encoded with copyright protection technologies are marketed by some record companies. 24、uct.Cautions when playing a discthat is recorded in MultiSession If the disc begins with a CD-DA session, it is recognized as a CD-DA (audio) disc, and playback continues until an MP3 session is encountered. If the disc begins with an MP3 session, it is recognized as an MP3 disc, and playback contin

25、ues until a CD-DA (audio) session is encountered. The playback range of an MP3 disc is determined by the tree structure of files produced by analyzing of the disc. 31、3000MSECTION 1SERVICING NOTESNOTES ON HANDLING THE OPTICAL PICK-UPBLOCK OR BASE UNITThe laser diode in the optical pick-up block may suffer electrostaticbreak-down because of the potential difference generated by thecharged electrostatic load, etc. on clothing and the human body.During repair, pay a

32、ttention to electrostatic break-down and alsouse the procedure in the printed matter which is included in therepair parts.The flexible board is easily damaged and should be handled withcare.NOTES ON LASER DIODE EMISSION CHECKThe laser beam on this model is concentrated so as to be focused onthe disc

33、 reflective surface by the objective lens in the optical pick-up block. Therefore, when checking the laser diode emission,observe from more than 30 cm away from the objective lens.UNLEADED SOLDERBoards requiring use of unleaded solder are printed with the lead-free mark (LF) indicating the solder co

34、ntains no lead.(Caution: Some printed circuit boards may not come printed withthe lead free mark due to their particular size): LEAD FREE MARKUnleaded solder has the following characteristics. Unleaded solder melts at a temperature about 40 C higherthan ordinary solder.Ordinary soldering irons can b

35、e used but the iron tip has to beapplied to the solder joint for a slightly longer time.Soldering irons using a temperature regulator should be set toabout 350 C.Caution: The printed pattern (copper foil) may peel away ifthe heated tip is applied for too long, so be careful! Strong viscosityUnleaded

36、 solder is more viscou-s (sticky, less prone to flow)than ordinary solder so use caution not to let solder bridgesoccur such as on IC pins, etc. Usable with ordinary solderIt is best to use only unleaded solder but unleaded solder mayalso be added to ordinary solder. While pressing the x button, press the i-Bass button andturn the VOLUME knob counter-clockwise.3. The message “RESET” is displayed and the set is reset.GC T
