7、ed” knobs,screws, and all other exposed metal parts for AC leakage.Check leakage as described below.LEAKAGE TESTThe AC leakage from any exposed metal part to earth ground andfrom all exposed metal parts to any exposed metal part having areturn to chassis, must not exceed 0.5 mA (500 microamperes.).L

8、eakage current can be measured by any one of three methods.1.A commercial leakage tester, such as the Simpson 229 or RCAWT-540A. Follow the manufacturers instructions to use theseinstruments.2.A battery-operated AC milliammeter. The Data Precision 245digital multimeter is suitable for this job.3.Mea

9、suring the voltage drop across a resistor by means of aVOM or battery-operated AC voltmeter. The “limit” indica-tion is 0.75 V, so analog meters must have an accurate low-voltage scale. The Simpson 250 and Sanwa SH-63Trd are ex-amples of a passive VOM that is suitable. Nearly all batteryoperated dig

10、ital multimeters that have a 2 V AC range are suit-able. 21、ing and the humanbody.During repair, pay attention to electrostatic break-down and alsouse the procedure in the printed matter which is included in therepair parts.The flexible board is easily damaged and should be handled withcare.NOTES ON LASER DIODE EMISSION CHECKThe laser beam on this model is c

22、oncentrated so as to be focusedon the disc reflective surface by the objective lens in the opticalpick-up block. Then enter the AMP test mode and display “AMPTEST”.2.If turn the knob clockwise, it displays “VOLUMEMAX”, and if turn the knob counterclockwise, it displays“VOLUME 0”.3.If the andknobs are turned clockwise orcounterclockwise, it change displays in order of

48、an specified value with the following checks.S-CURVE CHECKProcedure :1.Connect an oscilloscope to TP (FE) and TP (VC).2.Turn the power on.3.Load a disc (YEDS-18) and actuate the focus search. 49、form (S-curve) issymmetrical between A and B. And confirm peak to peak levelwithin 3 0.5 Vp-p.Note: Try to measure several times to make sure than the ratioof A : B or B : A is more than 10 : 7.
