Turning off the power orpressing the CD 0 button to open the CD holder will also clear theprogrammed tracks.To exit the pr
19、ogram mode once, while the CD Player isstopped, press the PROGRAM button to light off the CD PRO-GRAM indicator.Notes:If the total playback time of the programmed tracks exceeds 99 minutes 59 seconds, the total playback time will go out on the display.When the CD contains more than 21 tracks:When yo
20、u try to program a track number exceeding 20 (for example the 25th track), the total playback time indication will go out, though programming is possible.To Modify the Program Modify the contents of the program while the CD Player is stopped.Each time you press the 7 button, the last track in the pr
21、ogram is de-leted. To add new tracks to the end of the program, repeat abovesteps 5 to 7.The tracks will play in no special order when you use this mode.I1. 27、 the tracks or justone of the tracks on the MD.Here are the basic things you need to know to play an MD and locatethe different tracks on it.The Quickest Way To Start an MD Is With the One Touch OperationIPress the MD38 button.The power is automatically turned on. If an MD is already inserted, it wi
28、ll start playing from the first track. If no MD is inserted, NO DISC appears on the display and the MD Player remains in Stop mode.IInsert an MD into the MD slot.Insert it with its label side up and the # or mark of the MD directs as shown in the figure.The MD is automatically drawn inside the MD Pl
29、ayer and the red MD indicator on the front of the Unit lights up.IYou can insert an MD while listening to the other source.To Play an MD I1. Insert an MD.The MD indicator lights up.I2. Press the MD 38 button.The first track of the MD begins playing. (The MD indicator stays lit.)The tracks in the MD

Justinsert an MD t
42、o the Unit, have the source ready, make one or twosettings, and you are ready to record. For each source, the procedureis a little bit different so we explain each separately. But first, hereare a few things to make your recordings better.Things To Know Before You Start Recording IIt should be noted
43、 that it may be unlawful to re-record pre-recorded tapes, records, or discs without the con-sent of the owner of copyright in the sound or video re-cording, broadcast or cable program and in any literary, dramatic, musical, or artistic work embodied therein.ICarefully read the “Rules of Digital Dubb
44、ing” on page 23.IThe MD Recorder supports the following sampling frequencies for digital sources.For the OPTICAL DIGITAL IN (AUX2): 32 kHz, 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz.For the CD Player of the Unit: 44.1 kHz.IThe recording level, which is the volume at which the new MD is being made, is automatically set co
45、rrectly, so it is not affected by the VOLUME level of the System. Nor it is affected by ad-justing the sound effects. Thus, during recording you can adjust the sound you are actually listening to without affecting the re-cording level.IThe accidental erasure prevention knob is provided on the back o
46、f an MD cartridge to prevent accidental erasure or recording. It must be set to the close position beforehand.IWhen you stick an adhesive label onto the MD cartridge, adhere it securely. If it peels off, ejection trouble, etc. will occur.Preparation Before RecordingIBe sure that the MD is not the Pl
47、ay-only type one.IBe sure that the accidental erasure prevention knob of the MD cartridge is set to the close position. Otherwise, DISC PRO-TECTED will appear when you try to record a signal to the MD.IBe sure that the MD has enough space for recording. If not, car-ry out ALL ERASE or ERASE function
48、 to erase all the tracks or desired tracks in the MD. (See pages 16-17.) You can check the recordable remaining time of the MD in Stop mode or dur-ing recording by pressing the DISPLAY/CHARA button. (See Checking the Remaining Time of the MD mentioned on page 14.)Indication of the MD Indicator for R

50、one of the sources.CD: Use the CD Synchro Recording mentioned below.Tuner: Tune in to a station.AUX1 (LINE IN (AUX1): Press the TAPE/AUX button on the Unit or the Remote Control until “AUX 1 ANALOG IN” ap-pears on the display.AUX2 (OPTICAL DIGITAL IN (AUX2): Press the TAPE/AUX button on the Unit or
