4、st are special significance to safety. When replacing a component identified with, use only the replacement parts designated, or parts with the same ratings or resistance, wattage, or voltage that are designated in theparts list in this manual. Leakage-current or resistance measurements must be made

5、 to determine that exposed parts are acceptablyinsulated from the supply circuit before retuming the product to the customer.Some semiconductor (solid state) devices can be damaged easily by static electricity. Such components commonly are calledElectrostatically Sensitive (ES) Devices. Examples of

6、typical ES devices are integrated circuits and some field effect transistors andsemiconductor chip components.The following techniques should be used to help reduce the incidence of component damage caused by static electricity.1. Immediately before handling any semiconductor component or semiconduc

7、tor-equipped assembly, drain off any electrostatic charge onyour body by touching a known earth ground. Alternatively, obtain and wear a commercially available discharging wrist strap device,which should be removed for potential shock reasons prior to applying power to the unit under test.2. After r

8、emoving an electrical assembly equipped with ES devices, place the assembly on a conductive surface such as aluminum foil, toprevent electrostatic charge build-up or exposure of the assembly.3. Use only a grounded-tip soldering iron to solder or unsolder ES devices.4. Use only an anti-static solder

9、removal device. Some solder removal devices not classified as anti-static can generate electrical chargessufficient to damage ES devices.5. Do not use freon-propelled chemicals. These can generate electrical change sufficient to damage ES devices.6. Do not remove a replacement ES device from its pro

10、tective package until immediately before you are ready to install it. (Most replacementES devices are packaged with leads electrically shorted together by conductive foam, aluminum foil or comparable conductive material.)7. Immediately before removing the protective material from the leads of a repl

11、acement ES device, touch the protective material to thechassis or circuit assembly into which the device will be installed.Be sure no power is applied to the chassis or circuit, and observe all other safety precautions.8. Minimize bodily motions when handling unpackaged replacement ES devices. (Othe

12、rwise harmless motion such as the brushing togetheror your clothes fabric or the lifting of your foot from a carpeted floor can generate static electricity sufficient to damage an ES devices.CAUTION :RadioFans.CN 收音机爱 好者资料库21. Inspect all lead dress to make certain thatleads are not pinched or that

13、hardware is notlodged between the chassis and other metalpartsintheunit.2. Be sure that any protective devices such asnonmetallic control knobs, insulating fish-papers,cabinetbacks,adjustmentandcompartment covers or shields, isolationresistor-capacitynetworks,mechanicalinsulators, etc. Which were re

14、moved for theservicingareproperlyre-installed.Before returning the unit to the user, perform the following safety checks :3. Be sure that no shock hazard exists ; check for leakagecurrentusingSimpsonModel229LeakageTester,standardequipment item No. 21641, RCA Model WT540A or usealternate method asfol

15、lows : Plug the power cord directlyInto a 120 volt AC receptacle (do not use an IsolationTransformer for this test). Using two clip leads, connect a1500ohms,10wattResistorparalleledbya0.15uFcapacitor,inserieswithallexposedmetalcabinetpartsandaknownearthground,suchas a water pipe or conduit. Use a VT

16、VM or VOM with 1000 ohms per volt, or higher sensitivity to measure the AC voltage drop across theresistor. (See diagram) Move the resistor connection to each exposed metal part having a return path to the chassis (antenna, metal,cabinet,screwheads,knobsandcontrolshafts,escutcheon,etc.)andmeasurethe

17、ACvoltagedropacrosstheresistor.(Thistestshouldbeperformedwiththe0.35voltRMSormoreisexcessiveandindicatesapotentialshockhazardwhichmustbecorrectedbeforereturningtheunittotheowner.315 TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDETroubleshooting GuideThis unit is designed for trouble-free operation. Most problems users encoun

18、ter are due to operating errors. So, if you have a problem, firstcheck this list for a possible solution. Set this controlto a suitable position for your taste and roomacoustics. Treble Control: Turn this control tomodify the high-frequency output of theleft/right

47、channels by as much as 10dB. Setthis control to a suitable position for your tasteand room acoustics. Balance Control: Turn this control tochange the relative volume for the frontleft/right channels. Volume Control: Turn the knob clock-wise to increase volume, counterclockwise todecrease the volume.

48、 Volume/Mute Indicator: This indicatorwill glow green when the HK 3370 is turnedon. Its position will enable you to judge therelative volume of the unit even when thespeakers are muted or turned off.When theindicator is pointing toward the left, at an“8 oclock” position, the volume is low; when it i
