The cloning cables are designed to connect an Icom transceiver/receiver and a PC for data cloning using Icom cloning soft- ware. Please read these instructions thoroughly before us- ing the cloning cable. OPC-4

Therefore,mostoftheIcomcloningsoftwarewhich require the RS-232C type cables can be used with USB type cables. IMPORTANT: Some Icom clo

13、ning software can only selectports1to4.Whenseveralperipheralequip- ment,suchasaprinter,scannerandhard-diskdrive areconnectedtotheUSBport,theportnumberavail- able for the cloning software may be port 5 or higher. The COM port number is used to set communication with the cloning software. qSelect“Desktop”andclickthefoldericonatthebot- t

15、om of the screen. The“Libraries”windowisdisplayed Right-ClickComputer,andthenclickProperties, w as shown below. The“System”windowappears. ClickDeviceManager. e “DeviceManager”appears. Click the “ r”nextto“Ports(COM&LPT).” Conirm“IcomUSB-to-SerialCommPort(COM)” is displayed. Inthisexample,theCOMportn

16、umberis“3.” IftheCOMportnumberisnotdisplayed,orsever- al numbers are displayed at the same time like “Icom USB-to-Serial Comm Port (COM)(COM),” the driver may not be properly installed. In such case,uninstalltheUSBdriverandinstallitagain. Youcanuninstalltheprogramusingthe“Uninstall a program”intheWi
