2、er in a secure place to avoid inadver- tent use by children. AVOID charging in extreme cold (under 0C; +32F) or extreme heat (over +45C; +113F). Batteries may not charge fully under extreme temperatures. Keep the charger away from TV sets or radios to pre- vent interference. RNEVER attempt to charge
3、 alkaline or dry cell bat- teries. They may burst causing damage and personal injury. Make sure battery and charger contacts are always clean, otherwise batteries may not fully charge. In order to get the maximum life out of your batteries: 1. Avoid overchargingbatteries must be removed from the BC-
4、146 to stop charging. Batteries should not be charged for more than 24 hours. 2. Use the batteries until they become almost com- pletely exhausted under normal conditions. If your batteries seem to have no capacity even after being fully charged, completely discharge them, then fully charge them aga
5、in. If they still do not retain a charge (or very little), new batteries must be pur- chased. Recycling information (U.S.A. only) The battery (BP-209 or BP-222) that you have pur- chased is recyclable. At the end of its life, under vari- ous state and local laws, it may be illegal to dispose of this
6、 battery into the municipal waste stream. Call 1- 800-822-8837 for battery recycling options in your area or contact your dealer. Amateur Radio Directory Charging with the IC-F11 Series Attach the spacer (SpacerB/C) to the adapter (SpacerA) with the orientation as illustrated in the diagram above. Attach the spacer (Spacer B/C) to the adapter with the orientation of the stamp “
11、 ” pointing up. Charging with the IC-F3G Series Attach the spacer (SpacerB/C) to the adapter (SpacerA) with the orientation as illustrated in the diagram above. Attach the spacer (SpacerB/C) to the adapter with the orientation of the stamp “ ” pointing up. When removing the spacer (SpacerB/C) Push t
12、he notch carefully with your fi nger to remove the spacer (SpacerB/C) from the adapter (SpacerA). RCAUTION! DO NOT push or force the notch with a screw driver, etc., to remove it. DO NOT bend the notch when the adapter and spacer are not joined together. This will cause weakening of the notch plasti
13、c. Both cases may break the notch and it may not be able to be reattached. Charging with the IC-F30G Series The adapter (Spacer A) only is required. Spacer A Check orientation and Spacer A Spacer B/C Check orientation and Spacer A Spacer B/C Push the notch carefully. Remove the spacer (Spacer B/C) from the adapter.
