16、nction with the appropriate flowchart. See below to determine which flowchart you should view. You should not disassemble the 2110 until the preliminary checks in the Repair flowchart are completed. If the Repair flowchart refers you to any of the other flowcharts, you should disassemble the transce

17、iver only when this is indicated in the process. NOTE The fault diagnosis and repair procedures assume that the transceiver has no software or hardware options installed. See page 115, Options to identify any specific testing for options. NOTE All fault diagnosis should begin with the Repair flowcha

18、rt (see Figure 29 on page 95). Check voltages on boards as required. NOTEAll measurements for output power are in PEP. 24、hich the CRO output of the 0208 is connected. 1Select a channel on the transceiver to test. 1Ensure both output level controls on the 0208 are set to the minimum level. 1Switch on PTT on the 0208. 1Adjust the output level of the 0208 until the RF output power of the transceiver reaches a maximum (ap

25、proximately 23 dBv on the 0208). 1Adjust the oscilloscope to view the RF envelope. 1Adjust the balance control on the 0208 for zero crossover (balanced) on the oscilloscope. 27、e of screen) corrosion 1Check that: the connectors are clear of foreign material the connectors are free from corrosion the pins on all connectors are straight and not distorted 1Record your results and actions (see page 109, Test sheet for the 2110 series Manpack Transceiver). 1Return to the Repair

29、t panel for 2 seconds to switch off the transceiver. 1Disconnect the battery from the transceiver. 1Connect the power supply to the connector at the base of the transceiver unit. 1Press on the front panel to switch on the transceiver. 1Tap on the front panel until the backlight is switched off. 1Mea

32、r: 1Set up the equipment (see page 56, Setting up the test equipment). 1Select a channel to test. 1Set the RF signal generator to 1.0 kHz above the SCF of the selected USB channel or 1.0 kHz below the SCF of the selected LSB channel. 1Set the RF output level of the RF signal generator to 13 dBm. 1Ad

33、just the volume via the front panel so the tone is clearly audible. 1Set the 0 dB reference on the AC voltmeter to the level of the tone (approximately 5 dBm at full volume). 1Reduce the RF output level of the RF signal generator until the reading on the AC voltmeter reduces by 6 dB. 1Record your re

Performing the Audio Output test To test the audio output from the transceiver: 1Set up the equipm

35、ent (see page 56, Setting up the test equipment). 1Replace the AC voltmeter with an oscilloscope. 1Adjust the oscilloscope to view a 1 kHz tone at 1 V pp. 1Select a channel to test. 1Set the RF signal generator to 1.0 kHz above the SCF of the selected USB channel or 1.0 kHz below the SCF of the sele

36、cted LSB channel. 1Set the RF output level of the RF signal generator to 60 dBm. 1Switch on the RF output from the RF signal generator. 1Switch the 0208 speaker to Load. Performing the Selectivity test To test the selectivity of the transceive

39、r: 1Set up the equipment (see page 56, Setting up the test equipment). 1Select a channel to test, preferably near the centre of one of the designated bands (see page 60, Examining the profile in the transceiver). 1Set the RF signal generator to 1.0 kHz above the SCF of the selected USB channel or 1.

40、0 kHz below the SCF of the selected LSB channel. 1Set the RF output level of the RF signal generator to 120 dBm. 1Switch on the RF output from the RF signal generator. 1Adjust the volume via the front panel to full volume. 1Set the 0 dB reference on the AC voltmeter to the level of the tone (approxi

41、mately 16 dBm). 1Set the RF signal generator to 1.0 kHz below the SCF of the selected USB channel or 1.0 kHz above the SCF of the selected LSB channel. 1Increase the RF output level of the RF signal generator to 55 dBm. 1Record your results and actions (see page 109, Test sheet for the 2110 series M

PassA waveform that does not clip, and reaches a maximum of 1.0 V pp. NOTE The receive audio output from the 0208 is half that of the speaker on the 2110, that is, the audio output from the 2110 should reach approximately 2 V pp at full volume. NOTE The setting varies slightly d

43、epending on the selected channel with respect to its positioning along the filter band and the noise from the RF signal generator. PassA reading on the AC voltmeter that is 0 dB.
