It is designed for general purpose indoor/outdoor

7、use with an average 1/4 mile operating range. It is com- pletely compatible with all Maxon 49 MHz radios. The controls and accessories are easy to use and the PC-50 does not require an FCC license for operation. The PC-50 transceiver can be utilized as a completely portable handheld radio, or attach

8、ed to a belt and used with its specially designed headset with boom microphone for hands-free VOX (voice operated) operation. 21、acle on the top of the unit. Do not over-tighten. 2)Remove the battery cover and install three (3) new AA alkaline batteries. When placing the batteries in the PC-50, the bottom (-) (flat side), of the battery rests on the spring, and the batterys top (+) touches the battery contact bar. 3)Turn the

22、power on/off-volume control dial clock- wise to a midway point to power the unit and set the volume. 4) Move the channel selector knob to the desired channel (A - E) to communicate with other 49 MHz radio users on the same channel. 5)Use the Call button to send a 1 kHz tone signal to alert second pa

23、rty you are calling. The red LED will light when the button is pushed, indicating the PC-50 is transmitting. 6)Hold the PC-50 about 2-3 inches from your mouth, press the P-T-T button and speak into the microphone to transmit. The red LED will light to indicate the PC-50 is transmitting. Release the

24、P-T-T button to receive incoming signals. NOTE: When transmitting (the P-T-T button is pressed) you will override incoming signals. You will not be able to receive a message when transmitting and you could interrupt an incoming message if you accidently key your P-T-T button. 6 HEADSET OPERATION Not

25、e: If using the PC-50 as a belt worn radio with the headset, range will average 1/8th mile or more. When using the PC-50 as a handheld radio, range will average 1/4th mile or more. 1)The PC-50 is supplied with a detachable headset with boom microphone for hands-free operation. 2)Remove the headset f

26、rom the box and plug the two-prong connector into the two jacks on top of the PC-50. Note: The diameter and length of each prong varies slightly. Match them to the jacks for correct connection. 3)Adjust the headband to a comfortable fit, the ear speaker pad should fit snugly in the center of your ea

27、r. Adjust the boom microphone to a point about an inch away from your mouth. 4)Follow all instructions under the Operating Instructions section to install the batteries and antenna. 5)Turn the power on and set the volume to a midway point. 6) Move the channel selector knob to the desired channel (A

28、- E) to communicate with other 49 MHz radio users on the same channel. 7 7)Select the P-T-T or VOX transmitting mode by moving the P-T-T/VOX sensitivity control dial into position. P-T-T Operation Turn the dial clockwise to activate the manual push- to-talk (P-T-T) mode. You will hear a click from t

29、he control dial. Use the PC-50s push-to-talk button (in combination with your headset boom microphone) for transmitting. Release the P-T-T button while waiting to receive a message. VOX Operation Turn the dial counter-clockwise to activate the voice-operated (VOX) mode. You will hear a click from th

30、e control dial. Use the headsets boom micro- phone instead of the P-T-T button for hands-free operation - your voice will activate the transmission. Set the VOX sensitivity (by using the control dial) to prevent ambient noise from accidentally starting a transmission. NOTE: When in the VOX mode, you

31、 cannot transmit if you are receiving an incoming message. You must wait until the incoming message is completed. 8 WARRANTY SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS 1)Refer to the Operating Instructions section of this Owners Manual for adjustments that may be applicable to correct your problem. 2)If the above mention

If the Product fails to function under normal use because of manufacturing defect(s) or workmanship during the ninety (90) day period following the date of pur

The defective unit must be accompanied by proof of the date of purchase in the form of a sales receipt. Maxons sole obligation hereunder shall be to replace or repair the Product covered in t

Repair may include the replacement of parts or boards with functionally equivalent reconditioned or new parts or boards. Replaced parts, accessories, batteries or boards are warranted for the balance of th

Maxon shall have no obligation to make repairs or to cause replacement required which result from normal wear and tear or necessitated in whole or in part by catastrophe, the fault

49、receptculo para antena (en la parte de arriba de la unidad). No la apriete demasiado. 2)Saque la tapa del compartimiento de las bateras e instale tres (3) bateras nuevas alcalinas AA. Cuando coloque las bateras en el PC-50, el fondo negativo (-) (lado plano) de la batera descansa en el resorte, y el tope de la batera (+) toca la barra de contacto de la batera. 3)Gire el botn de control de volumen y de on/off en el sentido que giran las manecillas del reloj hasta un punto medio, para darle corriente a la unidad y fijar el volumen.
