If the protection of an i n s t rument has been impaired it should not be used, and be sent fo r repair by suitably trained and qualifi ed personnel. The protection is l i kely to be impaired if, for ex a m p l e, the inst

6、rument shows visibl e d a m a g e, fails to perfo rm the intended measurements, has been subjected to prolonged storage under unfavo u ra ble conditions, or has been exposed to severe tra n s p o rt stresses.
