4、clips to confirm that their condition is good, with no damaged or broken insulation. 2. Check continuity of the test leads by firmly shorting the leads together and read the test lead resistance. measurement directly from the display. Backlight operation 1.Turn the instrument backlight On by selecti

5、ng the position. 2.When the backlight is activated, select the desired test position. 3.On completion, select the OFF position to de-activate the backlight and conserve battery life. Continuity Testing 1.Turn the instrument On by selecting the range. 2.If required, zero test lead resistance by firml

6、y shorting both leads together, wait for the reading to stabilise and press the test button. Display of the symbol confirms lead zeroing. Note: Lead zeroing cancels each time the instrument is switched off, or Auto shut off operates. 3.Connect the test probes to the isolated circuit under test. 4.Th

7、e display shows the resistance value. (Maximum 99,9) 5.On completion switch to OFF position. Alternatively auto shut off operates after 5 minutes of instrument inactivity. Continuity BeeperOn the position, a continuous beep note sounds when the test leads make contact with resistance less than 5. f

8、contact is maintained, beeping ceases after a few seconds and the resistance value is displayed. Resistance greater than 5 is indicated by an intermittent beep note. Turn the instrument On by selecting the M range. 2. Connect

10、 the test probes to the isolated circuit under test. 3.Press and hold the push button; the display shows the insulation value.The reading will remain displayed for a few seconds after the push button is released. As an additional safety feature, instruments with 1000V range will flashsymbol before p

11、erforming a test. 4. Release the push button before removing the test leads (to enable the instrument to discharge the circuit under test). 5.On completion switch to the OFF position. To remove the rear cover, release the screw at the bottom of the cover and lift the cover upwards.To avoid the possibility of shock, do not press the test button or touch the fuse when changing batteries. 21、m) To check this fuse, select M, open circuit the test leads and press the test button until a reading is obtained. Display of the fuse symbol or an error code indicates a ruptured fuse. Located behind the rear cover, this fuse can be replaced by the user. The rear cover must not be opened if test l

22、eads are connected. The replacement fuse must be of the correct type and rating. To avoid the possibility of shock, disconnect the battery before touching the fuse. 36、tement sur laffichage. Rtro-clairage 1.Mettre le rtro-clairage de linstrument en service “ON” en slectionnant la position. 2.Lorsque le rtro-clairage est activ, slectionner la position dessai requise. 3.A la fin de lessai, slectionner la position “OFF” pour dsactiver le rtro-clairage et conserver le

Essai de continuit 1.Mettre linstrument en service “ON” en slectionnant la gamme . 2.Si ncessaire, mettre zro la rsistance des cbles dessai en court-circuitant fermement les cbles, attendre que la lecture se stabilise et presser le bouton dessai. Laffichage du symbole confirme la mise zro.

38、Nota: La mise zro des cbles est annule chaque fois que linstrument est arrt ou que la fonction Arrt automatique est active. 3.Brancher les sondes dessai sur le circuit isol tester. 4.Laffichage indique la valeur de la rsistance. Avertisseur de continuit - Sur la position , un tonalit continue est mise lorsque les cbles dessai sont en contact avec des rsistances infrieures 5 . Si le contact est AVERTISSMENTS RELATIFS A LA SECURITE Le ci

40、rcuit tester doit tre coup, dsexcit et isol avant dentreprendre les essais disolement ou de continuit. Le bouton dessai ne doit pas tre press pendant le branchement des cbles dessai. Le voyant Voltage ne fonctionne pas si OFF ou est slectionn. Pendant un essai disolement, le circuit ne doit pas tre

41、touch. Aprs les essais disolement, laisser dcharger les circuits capacitifs avant de dbrancher les cbles dessai. Les cbles dessai, les sondes et les pinces crocodiles doivent tre en bon tat, propres et avec un isolement sans cassures ni fissures. Les fusibles de rechange doivent tre de la dimension,

42、 du type et de la puissance nominale corrects. Les avertissements et prcautions de scurit doivent tre lus et compris avant dutiliser linstrument. Ils doivent tre observs pendant lusage. Consulter les avertissements relatifs la scurit avant dutiliser linstrument maintenu, la tonalit cesse aprs quelqu

43、es secondes et la valeur de la rsistance est affiche. Les rsistances suprieures 5 sont signales par une tonalit intermittente. Essai disolement 1.Mettre linstrument en service “ON” en slectionnant la gamme M. 2.Brancher les sondes dessai sur le circuit isol tester. 3.Presser et tenir appuy le bouton

44、 dessai; laffichage indique la valeur de lisolement. La lecture restera affiche pendant quelques secondes aprs le relchement du bouton dessai. En scurit supplmentaire sur les instruments ayant une gamme de 1000V, le symbole clignotera avant deffectuer un essai. 4.Relcher le bouton poussoir avant de

45、dbrancher les cbles dessai (pour permettre linstrument de dcharger le circuit test). 5.A la fin de lessai, slectionner la position “OFF”.
