32、the swi tchi ng power supply break s, the usual consequences are that both I GBT transi stors (Q2 & Q3) ex plode and that the I R2110S i c (U12) from the control board (the I GBT dri ver) gets damaged. I t may be possi - ble that more i cs from the control board get damaged too (U15 SG3525 or U9 NE5
33、55), but thi s i s not usual. Once an I GBT break s, i t i s absolutely necessary to change the I R2110S i c too, even i f i t seems to be OK. I f the I R2110S i c i s not replaced, the I GBTs wi ll damage agai n. I f you have not the requi ered SMT tools to change any SMD component, the best opti o
34、n i s to change the complete control board. To change the I GBTs follow the nex t steps: tak e out the power supply uni t from the ampli fi er by removi ng the screws at the PCB. I f the fi nal transi stors are OK you can measure around 10ohms between the base and the emi tter and very hi gh resi stance between collector and emi tter. I n the dri ver transi stor
46、you have to measure around 230ohms between base and emi tter. I f you have a fi nal transi stor shortci rcui ted, you can measure a very low resi stance between collector and emi tter of all fi nal transi stors, but the lower resi stance i ndi cates what i s ex actly the transi stor shortci rcui ted
