Your in stru ment will perform best if it is kept clean. A routine cleaning of the instrument using

4、a clean lint-free cloth and a light coat of a quality guitar polish will keep your Roundback looking and performing at its peak. Gold-plated parts especially should be wiped clean after each playing to prevent corrosion from body acids. We strongly recommend the purchase and use of an Ovation Roundb

5、ackTM molded guitar case. Specially de signed to ac com mo date Roundback Ovation guitars, it offers the best possible pro tec tion against damage. The inside of the case is plush-lined and form-fi tted to hold the guitar snugly and securely. An inside case pocket allows storage of strings and small

6、 ac ces so ries. The guitar is held fi rmly in the case by a pad in the lid which presses lightly against the top of the guitar when the lid is closed. The pad can sometimes absorb polish from the guitar, leaving a dull area on it. This can quickly be restored to a high gloss fi nish with a quality

7、guitar polish. Any marks on the bowl where it has been in contact with the lining of the case can be removed in the same way. Always store the instrument at room temperature, avoid ing any ex ces sive ly hot, cold, damp or dry conditions. The delicate woods used in instrument construction are greatl

8、y affected by changes in humidity and tem per a ture. A neck warp or top crack can render any fi ne guitar unplayable. You may wish to pur chase a humidity/mois ture packet that can be carried in your case to com pen sate for any changes in these climatic con di tions. Check with your Ovation dealer

9、 for availability. Keep your instrument tuned to concert pitch under normal playing and storage situations. However, if the instrument is to be stored for a long period of time, reduce the string tension slightly; one or two turns of each tuning machine will be adequate. 2 Congratulations on buying

15、th your right hand, hold the string against the fi n ger board at the 13th fret. 2. Check the clear ance be tween the bot tom of the string and the top of the 5th fret. .005 to .015 1112 The preamplifi er used in the Ovation Acoustic-Electric guitar obtains its pow er from a single, 9-volt battery f

16、ound in the battery box inside the bowl. For op ti mum performance, we recommend using a 9-volt alkaline battery. Current is drawn only when a cord is plugged into the guitar, so fre quen cy of battery replacement will de pend on how often the acoustic electric feature is used. Always re mem ber to

17、unplug your guitar when not in use. This will extend the battery life considerably. Noise or distortion de tect ed in the out put is usually a sign that a new battery is required. Some Ovation guitars use the Ovation Thin Line piezo saddle pickup. Similar in operation to the original Ovation pickup,

18、 the vibration of strings over the saddle creates small changes in the pressure exerted on the six small piezo crystal elements located under each saddle section (one per string). This change in pressure on the piezo crystal causes an electrical charge to appear at the output terminals of each eleme

19、nt. The output of each crystal is then added to the others resulting in an electrical signal corresponding to the vibrations of all strings. As in all Ovations, this signal is amplifi ed and processed with onboard electronics and fi nally connected to a P .A. system or amplifi er. The Ovation Thin L

20、ine offers a more traditional look as well as the rugged construction which make Ovation guitars the guitars for use on the road. 3. Clockwise rotation of the ten sion rod adjustment will tight en the ten sion rod to correct a warped con di tion. Use the pre vi ous ly out lined pro ce dure to check

21、your ad just ment. Make sure that you do not over tight en the tension rod and lose the clearance at the 5th fret. 4. Counterclockwise rotation of the adjustment nut will loosen the ten sion rod until the proper clear ance can be seen at the 5th fret. SPECIAL NOTE: The Kaman Bar adjustment is very s

22、ensitive. One half turn on the nut when the rod is under tension will produce a signifi cant change at the fi rst fret, so turn it con ser va tive ly and check the neck frequently as you adjust it. Rear Access Models: For Rear Access models, access is via the door in the back of the bowl. In all oth

23、er respects proceed as for oth er Kaman Bar models. These models require a long er handle ad just ment wrench, (#950059-X). Your Rear Ac cess gui tar has a screw in the center of the access door. Loos en the screw until the door can fi rst be slid to one side, then to the other, to remove it. Take c

24、are not to com plete ly remove the screw. Reverse the pro ce dure to re place the door. The Ovation Acoustic-Electric Many Ovation RoundbackTM guitars come with the now famous built-in acoustic-electric pickup and pream pli fi er sys tem. 26、trib u tor either in writ ing or by tele phone ex plains to the Manager or Assistant Manager of the manufacturers Cus tom er Service De part ment the nature of such defect and obtains re turn authorization from the man u fac tur er prior to returning the product or component; (3) At the Buyers expen

27、se, the Buyer returns the product claimed to be de fec tive, through his au tho rized deal er/distributor, to the manufacturer at the Buyers expense with ship ping expenses pre paid both to and from the manufacturer; (4) The manufacturer shall be sat is fi ed that such defect is not the result of mi

28、suse or abuse; and (5) The model number and serial number on both the registration card and the product shall not have been altered; and the manufacturer shall per form its war ran ty ob li ga tion as set forth herein free of charge for labor and materials for the fi rst two (2) years after the orig

29、 i nal retail purchase. There af ter, the manufacturer shall be responsible for all materials used in the per for mance of this warranty and the Buyer shall be responsible for all service and labor charges incurred in such performance at standard manufacturers rates in effect at that time. This war

30、ran ty shall not apply to prod ucts which shall have been subjected to misuse, neg li gence, al ter ation or accident, in clud ing ex po sure to ex treme heat, cold, or high or low humidity. The man u fac tur er shall not be liable for any property damage or for any con se quen tial dam ag es (inclu

31、ding loss of use or profi ts) nor shall the man u fac tur ers liability on any claim for damages arising out of or connected with the manufacture, sale, delivery or use of any goods de liv ered under this order ex ceed the pur chase price paid there for. In the event of un ex pect ed loss by fi re,

32、theft, or damage of the Buyers product while in the man u fac tur ers possession such loss shall not be a liability of the manufacturer in excess of the re place ment with a new product of the same or most similar available style. Excess value (col lec tors value) insurance must be carried by the Bu

33、yer at Buyers expense. The same is true with shipping insurance since many carriers place limits on their liability. The man u fac tur er assumes no liability in the event of loss or damage to the owners product while it is in transit to or from the manufacturers place of business and the owner shal

34、l be responsible for all risk of loss. Any action for breach of this warranty or any other action under this Agreement must be commenced within one (1) year after such cause of action arises; (6) Proof of original retail purchase satisfactory to the manufacturer. This product is distributed through

35、a network of authorized distributors and deal ers who are iden ti fi ed by an “authorized dealer” decal plaque. Your au tho rized deal er/dis trib u tor will act as the agent of the manufacturer and will be re spon si ble for handling all warranty claims under this warranty in ac cor dance with the

36、man u fac tur ers direction. Pur chase of this product from other than an “au tho rized dealer” may lead to diffi culty or delay in obtaining war ran ty service. THIS WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND IS MADE IN LIEU OF ANY AND ALL OTHER WAR RAN TIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY WAR

37、RANTIES OF MER CHANT ABIL I TY OR OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ALL SUCH WARRANTIES BEING SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMED AND EXCLUDED. IN NO EVENT WILL THE MANUFACTURER OR DISTRIBUTOR BE LIABLE FOR SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR ANY NATURE WHATSOEVER, REGARDLESS OF HOW ARISING. 18
