Theprintwheelisnowlockedinthecorrectpo- sition.Theclutchbetweenthewheelandtheprint wheelshaftslipsuntilcompletionoftheprinting cycle.Eachwheelislockedindependentlyinthe abovemanner. Printwheelswhichhavenoinputareautomatically programmedtothe
25、BLANKposition.A 22Kre- sistorisinternallyconnectedbetweentheBLANK inputofeachwheelandtheBIASline.Cut-off biasisdeliveredthroughthecommutatortothe printwheelmagnetcontroltubewhentheprint wheelisintheBLANKposition,lockingtheprint wheel.When aprintwheelisconnectedtoan externaldatasource,ashortingjumper
26、mustbe installedexternallybetweentheBLANK input andtheCOMMONline,preventingBLANKprogram- ming. Allprintwheelsarecorrectlypositionedafter theprintwheelshafthasmadeonerevolution. Thecamshaftcontinuestoturnwhilethefollow- ingeventsoccur: a)TheswitchcamoperatesS302toitsoriginal position.Theprintwheelmag
27、netcircuitsare opened,preventingthepawlfrombeingraisedbe- tweenprintingcycles.Thedisablerelayisde- energized.Thethyratron(V8)platecircuitis closed,armingtheclutchforthenextprintingcycle. b)Theprintbaroperatesupward,pressingthe paperagainsttheinkedribbonandprintwheels. 30、uration.The pulsemaybesuppliedbyanexternalpulsecircuit orbymomentarilyshortingtheNEGATIVEPRINT COMMANDinputtotheBIASline.ThePRINT COMMANDswitch(SlOl)permitstheprintcom- mandsignaltobeselectedfromtheexternalsystem connectedtoeitherJlOlorJl02.Refertothe schematicdiagramFigure4-5. Ifanegativeprintcomma
31、ndpulseisused,itis appliedtothegridofV7B,whereitisamplified andinverted.Thepositiveoutputpulseiscoupled tothegridof V8.
