38、osing theproperprobetip,besidesthe obviousselectionof coaxialornon-coaxial types, otherpropertiesof theprobesmustbeconsidered. Forinstance,at25mceitherthepen-typetiporthe vhf tipmaybe used. However, the vhfhaslessshunt capacity andthereforeshould beusedin highimped- ance applications,orwheretheleast

39、disturbanceto thecircuitisdesired.Inasimilarmannerallthe specificationsfortheprobetipsshould beconsidered whenselectingthebestoneforthe application. 3-19.INSTALLATIONOFPROBETIPS. 3-20.Aftertheproperprobetiphasbeenselected, installitontheprobebodybyloosening the locking collarand unscrewing thepresen

40、tprobetip, if any, andscrewingthenewprobetip initsplace. Screw the newprobetip down untilitjustbottoms. CAUTION Excessivetorquewilldestroythecartridge. 3-21. Screw thecollaruptolock theprobetip in place.Keep the diodecartridgewhich fits intothe probe tipclean.Donot touch thecartridgewhen installing
