10、oground.Adjusttheoscil- latorfrequencyto10kc.AdjustR13 ifnecessary sothattheoscillatorisexactly22.5volts.Stable operationcanbecheckedbyoperatingtherange switchfromrangetorange.Theoutputvoltageshould stabilizeinlessthan5secondsafterchangingranges. Ifitdoesnot,oscillatortubesVIand/orV2arede- fective,o

11、rthelampR15 (10watt,220 volt)should bereplaced.Lampsgenerallymustbeselected to find onethatisstable.Somelampswillallow the outputtochangedrasticallywhenjarred.The outputlevelwillneed to beresetifthelampisre- placed.WhenV2isreplaced,thecalibrationshould berecheckedat500 kc andresetifneeded. 4-8AMPLIF

12、IERSECTIONMAINTENANCE Theothertubesintheinstrumentarenotcritical withtheexceptionof V12 and V13.Itisnecessary tocheckthesetubesformatchedoperationinorder toinsurethatthedistortioniswithinratedspeci- fication.Audiodistortionisbestcheckedwith an 0flModel330BDistortionAnalyzer.Thetestshould beperformed

13、at5 kc.Thesourceof thedistortion canbedeterminedbymeasuringthedistortionof theoscillatoraloneatthe AMPLITUDE CONTROL R25andthenattheoutputterminals.Ifthedis- tortionof theoscillatoraloneiswellunder1%and theoutputsignalcontainsexcessivedistortionat eitherthebalancedorunbalancedoutputs,thecause of the
