The fre
29、quency-control1lngcircuitisarrangedasa floatingbridge,symmetricalwithrespecttoground. With no connectiontoground on anyterminalof the bridge,stabilityofcalibrationisassuredsinceany straycapacityand leakage to groundpresentatthe bridge outputterminalsdonotshunteitherthe frequency-controllingoramplitu
30、de-stabilizingarms of thebridge.Thefrequency-controllingcomponents (RC networks whicharevariedbyoperationofthe RANGEswitchand frequency dial)comprisetwoarms of the bridge, while theamplitude-stabilizingcom- ponents (a voltagedividerwhich includes athermally- sensitiveresistance)comprisetheothertwoar

The amplitudeisstabilizedatsucha levelthatthe ampllllertubesareoperatedInthesubstantiallylinear portionoftheircharacteristics,which,togetherwith thelargenegative feedback atharmonicfrequencies, resultsIn averypuresinewaveoscillation. Thebridgeisfed by the balanced voltage developed at thecathode
