26、NTRODUCTION 2-2.This section provides installation instructions for the Model 86290BRFPlug-in and its ac- cessories. This section also includes information aboutinitialinspectionanddamageclaims, preparation for using the RF Plug-in and packag- ing, storage and shipment. 2-3.INITIAL INSPECTION 2-4.In

27、spect the shipping container for damage. Ifthe shipping containerorcushioning materialis damaged it should be kept until the contentsofthe shipment have been checked for completeness and the instrument has been checked mechanically and electrically. The contentsofthe shipment should besshown in Figu

28、re1-1.Procedures for checking electrical performance are given in Section IV.If the instrument combination does not pass the elec- trical performance tests, refertothe 8629GBAd- justments (SectionV)in this manual. If, after the 86290B Adjustments have been made, the instru- ment combination still fa

29、ils to meet specifications, refer to mainframe Adjustments in the 8620C mainframe manual.Ifa circuit malfunctionis suspected, refertotroubleshooting information in Section VIIIofthis manual or 8620C mainframe manual.Ifthe instrument does not pass the above electrical tests, orifthe shipment contents

30、 are in- complete, orifthereismechanical damage or defect, notify the nearest Hewlett-Packard office. Ifthe shipping container is, damaged,orthe cushioning material shows signsofstress, notify the carrier as well astheHewlett-Packardoffice Keep the shipping materials for carriers inspec- tion. TheHP

31、office will arrange for repair or replacement without waitingforclaim settlement. 2-5.PREPARATIONFORUSE 2-6.Power Requirements 2-7.Whenthe Model 86290BRFPlug-inisprop- erly installed, it obtains all power through the rear interface connector from the 8620C Sweep Oscillator mainframe. 2-8.Interconnec
