2、CANADA SUBJECT: IMPROPER OPERATION OF THE 2490 MASTER CLOCK THIS BULLETIN SHOULD BE READ BY ALL TECHNICAL AND CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSONNEL This bulletin will inform you of a problem that has been identified in the 2490 Master Clock. In some clocks, when the date is changed or re-entered due to a power
3、 failure the clock can calculate the wrong day of the week. This can result in the bells improperly ringing on some undesired days and not ringing on some desired days. When the problem occurs, the day that is calculated is one (1) day ahead of the correct day. As an example, 1/3/95 is calculated by
4、 the clock as Wednesday (day 3) instead of Tuesday (day 2). The problem described here occurs only when the date is entered from the front panel. It does not occur if the date progresses to 1995 on its own. To temporarily correct this problem, the date may be entered with the year 1989 (the year 199
5、0 will work in the year 1996). This will allow the clock to calculate the proper day of the week. Remember that the clocks only use of the year is for calculating the day of the week. It does not appear in any other application. A new version of firmware (Version 3.0) is available for the 2490 which corrects this problem. The firmware may be ordered under part number 9561.
