The mark found on some component

10、parts indicates the importance of the safety factor of the part. Therefore, when replacing, be sure to use parts of identical designation. : The power supply is shown with the marked box. VSX-AX4AVi-S 30 1234 1234 C D F A B E 3.3 AUDIO use an i.LINK cable of less than 11 feet (3.5 m). Check that the

11、 source components conforms to the i.LINK Audio format. Make sure that all components connected between the receiver and the source are switched on. PQLS OFF or PQLS ON is displayed temporarily on your player and the sound output is discontinued. The program format indicators dont disappear when SAC

12、D playback stops. The program format indicators remain lit until another format source is input. This is not a malfunction. Make sure your i.LINK source components are switched on. Check that i.LINK is assigned correctly. You may need to reset the i.LINK database memory in the receiver (use the fron

13、t panel): With the receiver in standby, press ? STANDBY/ON while holding down RETURN. When you see DB CLEAR? appear in the display, press ENTER, then SETUP again to confirm. When youve reset the i.LINK database memory, DB CLEAR SET shows in the display. If DB ERROR is displayed, step through the pro

14、cedure again. You cant get i.LINK to display when using the SIGNAL SELECT button. After upgrading a component, it is not recognized and cannot be selected using the i.LINK connection. Before Making a Diagnosis The i.LINK indicator does not light up even when an i.LINK- equipped component is selected

15、. i.LINK messages You may see the following messages displayed in the front panel display when using the i.LINK interface. MessageExplanation BUS FULL The i.LINK bus has reached its capacity and cannot transmit any more data. CANNOT LINK 1The connection between the receiver and the selected i.LINK-e

16、quipped component is unstable. If the i.LINK cables appear to be connected properly and both the receiver and i.LINK-equipped component are on, switch both units off, then on again to re-establish the connection between them. CANNOT LINK 2The receiver cant identify the selected i.LINK-equipped compo

17、nent. For example, the receiver may not be able to identify an i.LINK-equipped personal computer. LINK CHECKThe receiver is checking the i.LINK network. It does this when components are added to, or removed from the network. The sound may be interrupted if this happens during playback. LOOP CONNECTT

18、he i.LINK network cannot function because the connected components form a loop. NO NAMEWhen an i.LINK-equipped component has no name, this message is displayed instead of the proper component name. NO SIGNALA component is outputting an i.LINK signal that the receiver cannot reproduce. This receiver

19、can only reproduce signals from i.LINK-Audio-equipped components. PQLS OFFThis is displayed on a playback component when PQLS turns off during playback. The sound may be interrupted momentarily when this happens. PQLS ONThis is displayed on a playback component when PQLS turns on during playback. Th

20、e sound may be interrupted momentarily when this happens. UNKNOWNWhen an i.LINK-equipped component name cannot be recognized, this message is displayed instead of the proper component name. 21、les (FFCs) connected, as shown in the photos below, then make a diagnosis. Procedures 1Remove the bonnet, referring to 7.1.9 DISASSEMBLY. 2Remove the HDMI shield, first removing the three screws. 3Remove the two screws that secure the 1394 connector to the rear panel. 4Remove the rivet that secures

36、f the third or subsequent generation that have adopted the iPod Dock connector. The iPod cable is available as parts (Part No.: ADE7119). MONITOR OUT screen FL display Cause There is a problem with the signal path from the iPod to the receiver. Measures Switch off the receiver and reconnect the iPod

37、 to the receiver. If this doesnt seem to work, try resetting your iPod. 40、RR/STREAM DIRECT button to PURE DIRECT or listening through the multichannel analogue inputs. Connect an iPod player to this unit, using an iPod cable. Has charging started? 44、 ROM BY PLAYING BACK A CD 1. Reset the receiver. Note: Note that all the data the receiver retains will be cleared. Resetting the system Use this procedure to reset all the receivers settings to the factory default. Use the front panel controls to do this. 1 Switch the receiver into standby. 2 While

45、 holding down the front panel AV PARAMETER button, press and hold STANDBY/ON for about three seconds. The display shows RESET?. 3 Press the front panel ENTER button. The display shows RESET OK?. 4 Press SETUP to confirm. OK appears in the display to indicate that the receiver has been reset to the f

46、actory default settings. Note that all settings will be saved, even if the receiver is unplugged. Procedures Connections Connect this unit and a player, as shown in the figure below. Preparations Burn the provided DSP program to a CD-R, using commercially available software for writing. It is necess

47、ary to select the writing format, For music player, not for PC data format . Note: Depending on the writing format of the commercially available software to be used, data on a CD-R may not be used for DSP program rewriting. If the HDMI indicator does not flash when the disc is played back in the way

48、 indicated in Step 5 below, data burned on the CD-R are not appropriate. To know whether the writing software is OK or not, play back the WMA9Pro stream stored on the last track of the disc. (Refer to Troubleshooting on next section.) If audio data are normally played back, the disc and the player c

49、an be used for updating. If audio data are not correctly played back (with noise, etc.), that writing software is not appropriate. Burn the DSP program on a CD-R disc, using other writing software. Please use DVD plaer based on MTK system (DV-270, 370, 373, 575K, 280, 380, 383, etc. ) ,Mitsubishi system (DV-59AVi, 868AVi, S969AVi, 668AVi, etc. ) or Fujitsu system (DV-343, 444, 545, etc.) DO NOT use DVD player based on ST system (DV- 353, 454, 250, 400, 555K, 2
