2、 usually indicated by one or more of the following symptoms: o Mechanical noises induced around the reel base area o Faulty FAST FORWARD mode - causing tape to stop or slow down o Tape slackening during FAST FORWARD-STOP switching or during PLAY-STOP switching These defect symptoms are eliminated fo

3、llowing a replacement of your old reel and brake mechanisms with the new Reel Base Kit RXX-081-0. Designed for full compatibility with tape deck Models T-500, T-600, T-6600, 0T-6100and 0T-6600, the New Reel Base Kit RXX-081-0 isfactory-aged for f ive hours and thoroughly tested for utmost precision

4、prior to delivery. As applied to the different tape deck models, the New Reel Base Kit RXX-081-0 has a sequence which is as follows: Model Serial No. Reference No. T-6100 15001 and after V .* O T-6600 21101 and after V - O 0T-6100 13251 and after V * O 0T-6600 14651and after V - O For the correct pr

5、ocedures of replacementand adjustment using the Reel Base Kit RXX-081-0, carefully follow the steps given in this manual. RadioFans.CN 收音机爱 好者资料库 DISMANTLING OLD REEL BASE AND B RA KE M ECHAN ISMS Preparatory Steps Observe the following steps corresponding to the different models prior to dismantlin

6、g the old reel base and brake mechanisms. Caution: Do not unsolder the wire leads of both the circuit board unit and power transformer. pr inted Photo (1 ) Photo (2) For T-500 As shown in the opposite photo (1), remove the following: O Oscillator unit g Power transformer ae Power supply unit For T-6

8、As shown in the opposite photo (41 , remove the following: no*er supply unit eower transformer (Photo: 0T-6600) Dismantling Procedure The following steps for dismantling must be observed. Each step corresponds to a number in the illustration (Fig. 1). O Release the top screw using a plus type screwd

9、river (Phillips type) . (D nemove M3 nut and M3 spring washet. Note: Keep the M3 nut and M3 spring washer which will be needed in assembling the new reel base. Holding the shaft (sectionE)with long nose pliers, remove M4 nut and spring washer in order to release the reel base shaft f rom the chassis

10、. Unhook and remove the coil spring. Holding the brake pole (sectionlwith long nose pliers, remove M3 nut and M3 spring washer f rom the brake arm shaft. The steps above are employed in removing both right and left reel bases and likewise in removing the brake assembly f rom chassis. DISMANTLING NEW

11、 REEL BASE Prior to mounting, the f ollowing operations must be done on the new reel base. Each step corresponds to a number in the illustration below (Fig.2l. Unhook and remove the coil spring. Remove M3 nut and M3 spring washer securing the brake arm shaf t. Remove grease f rom nylon washer on the

12、 reel base mounting panel. (F ig. 2) (Fig. 3) Using a plus type screwdriver, remove the mounting screw. Holding partEtsee illustration) with long nose pliers, remove M4 nut and M4 spring washer f rom the panel rear. Note: Keep the M4 nut and M4 spring washer which will be needed in mounting the new

13、reel base. Repeat the steps above for removing both right and left reel bases of the kit. MOUNTING NEW REEL BASE AND BRAKE MECHANISM For mounting the new reel base, f ollow the procedure below. Each step corresponds to a nu mber in the il lustration ( F ig. 3) . O Using the M 4 nut and M4 spring was

14、her (previously removed from the panel in step6- of Fig.2l, mount the new reel base onto the chassis. Replace the M3 nut and M3 sprinE washer (previously rennoved in stepof Fig. ll , carefully holding sectionat 14 mm (35/64 ip as shown in Fig. 3. Using the lVl3 nut and M3 spring washer (previously r

15、emoved in stepof Fig. 2l , mount the brake arm shaft. Hook the coil spring. Repeat the steps mentioned above for mounting both right and left reel bases. After mounting of both reels and brakes is completed, proceed with the f o llowing steps. T he cap ita lized letters correspond to sectlons in the

16、 illustration ( F ig. 3) . o Paint lock nutsand. o SparinEly apply grease to slide(9). o Using a piece of cotton dipped in alcohol, clean outer surfaces of the new reel base assembly , the back tension pulby and the brake roller . Replace removed parts in position as shown in the previous photos (1

17、to 4) . M2.6x4Tappingscrew Spring switch Mounting metal ADDITIONAL OPERATIONS These additional steps are required for models T-500 and T-600 only. Model T-500 There are two spring switches located near the left reel base as seen from the front. Remove the leftmost one from the chassis as shown in Fi

18、g. 4. Model T-600 One spring switch base as seen f rom shown in Fig. 4. is provided close to the left reel the front. 19、ll rub with the brake arm thereby causing faulty operation. Cut section B of switch stopper as shown in the il lu stration ( F ig. 48 ) . Now replace spring switches in position. Model T-500 and T-600 O Remove mounting screw from terminal side of microswitch. Shift the microswitch towards the direct

20、ion indicated by the arrow. Set the contro! lever to PLAY position then mount the switch drive lever (provided) on the fast forward cam as illustrated ln Fig. 5. As shown in Fig. 5A at left, position the switch drive cam bef ore securing it with mounting screws. Slide back and secure the microswitch

22、PLAY. Allow the tape to run a while bef ore changing the direction. This process must be repeated two or th ree times. o Do this test once more after reversing right and left reels. lf any erratic operation is observed with the reel base, the P LAY take-up tension m ight be incorrect and must be f u

23、rther adjusted (see Fig,7 on take-up tension). 2l Conf irm normal take-up tension at FAST FORWARD and that there is no tape slackening durinE STOP- FAST FO RWAR D switch ing. o Repeat STOP- FAST FO RWA R D switch ing severa I times. o Do this test once more after reversing right and left reels. lf t

24、he reel base shows any erratic operation, the FAST FORWARD take-up tension and FAST FO RWAR D back tension require f urther readjustment (see Fig. B). 3) Confirm normal tape functioning (no slackening) during FAST FO RWAR D-STOP switching. o Repeat FAST FORWARD-STOP switching serveral times o Repeat

25、 the test after reversing the right and left reels.
