8、echnician. IMPORTANT THIS PIONEER APPARATUS CONTAINS LASER OF CLASS 1. SERVICING OPERATION OF THE APPARATUS SHOULD BE DONE BY A SPECIALLY INSTRCUTED PERSON. LABEL CHECK LASER DIODE CHARACTERISTICS FOR DVD : MAXIMUM OUTPUT POWER : 5 mW WAVELENGTH : 655 nm FOR CD :MAXIMUM OUTPUT POWER : 5mW WAVELENGTH

9、 : 785 nm Additional Laser Caution 1. Inside detection switch (S201 on the SMEB assy) are detected by the microprocessor (IC11 in the DVDM assy). To permit the laser diode to oscillate, it is required to set the inside detection switch for the inside position (S201 : ON) . The 655 nm laser diode for

10、 DVD oscillation will continue if pin 19 of IC1 is shorted to +5V (fault condition) in the DVDM assy. The 785 nm laser diode for CD oscillates if pin 20 of IC1 is shorted to +5V in the DVDM assy. In the test mode , the laser diode oscillates when microproces- sor detects a PLAY signal, or when the P

11、LAY key is pressed (S5916 ON in the FRONT PANEL assy), with the above require- ments satisfied. 2. The standby LED lights even if the POWER key is pushed. It enters the state of POWER OFF soon even in case of the POWER ON.

46、 DVD does not operate at all. Time is not displayed in FL DISPLAY at the DVD function. The operation key is not accepted at all. Check method Whether terminal RESET (11Pin) is H is confirmed. The operation of the RESET circuit is confirmed if not becoming H. Whether the AC pulse is input to AC input

47、 terminal (26Pin) is confirmed. If the AC pulse is not input, the AC pulse generation circuit is confirmed. The microcomputer or the oscillation circuit is broken. The microcomputer or the oscillation circuit is exchanged. If the voltage of the 3.3DETECT (25Pin) terminal of the microcomputer is 2.9V or less, the voltage is adjusted to 2.9V or more.
