12、s switched off or in standby mode before proceeding. 3Press0 on theTVs remote control,then press the Channel Down button repeatedly until you see the General Setup page.This is the correct viewing channel for the recorder. Connection withVCR or similar device Before connecting Your new Philips hard disk/DVD recorder can replace theVCR for all your recording needs, just unplug all the connections from yourVCR. Connecting 1Follow steps 1 to 4 ofConnect

14、ing under Connection withoutVCR to connect the recorder before you proceed to step 2 below. 2Connect another SCART cable (not supplied) into the EXT2AUX I/O SCART socket at the rear of the recorder. 3Connect the other end into the SCART OUT socket at the rear of yourVCR. 4Plug in the power cable fro

15、m yourVCR to an AC power outlet. Connection withoutVCR Before connecting YourTV should be connected to the cable box/set-top box,satellite receiver or aerial, unplug the antenna cable from theTV. Connecting 1Connect the antenna cable (plugged out from theVCR orTV) to theANTENNAsocket at the rear of

16、the recorder. 2Connect the supplied RF coaxial cable into theTVsocket at the rear of the recorder and into theAntenna In socket of theTV. 3Connect the SCART cable to the SCART IN socket of theTV and to the EXT1 socket at rear of the recorder. 4Plug in the power cable from the recorder to anAC power

17、outlet. Conduct installation 1Select yourAudio Language,Subtitle Language, Menu Language,Country andTV Shape. Tip Use the recorders remote control to make your choice. 2Press SETUPto save and you are now prompted to connect the antenna. 3Activate automatic Channel Search. Tip If no channels were fou

18、nd,check the antenna connection and refer to user manual to search again once installation is done. 4Check Date andTime. 5Press SETUPto finish installation. Inserting batteries Note In this setup theVCR cannot record TV programmes. Pause LiveTV Sometimes you might be interrupted while watch- ing you

19、r favourite programme.Now you can PAUSE it,as if you were in control of the broadcast. 1Press PAUSEwhile watching any liveTV programme to suspend it. 2Press PLAYto continue. Tip When the recorder is switched on,the programme you are watching is temporarily recorded.In Pause LiveTV the recorder repla

20、ys the recorded footage,which will be erased when the recorder is switched to standby. 3Press TUNERto go back to live broadcast. Record 1Press RECto record. 2Key in the amount of time to record or press RECagain for a 30 minutes recording. Tip Every time you press RECan additional 30 minutes is adde
