11、rdous radiation exposure. Flexible Circuit Board Repairing Keep the temperature of the soldering iron around 270C during repairing. Do not touch the soldering iron on the same conductor of the circuit board (within 3 times). Be careful not to apply force on the conductor when soldering or unsolderin

12、g. Notes on Chip Component Replacement Never reuse a disconnected chip component. Notice that the minus side of a tantalum capacitor may be dam- aged by heat. NOTES ON HANDLING THE OPTICAL PICK-UP BLOCK OR BASE UNIT The laser diode in the optical pick-up block may suffer electrostatic breakdown beca

13、use of the potential difference generated by the charged electrostatic load, etc. on clothing and the human body. During repair, pay attention to electrostatic breakdown and also use the procedure in the printed matter which is included in the repair parts. The flexible board is easily damaged and s

14、hould be handled with care. NOTES ON LASER DIODE EMISSION CHECK The laser beam on this model is concentrated so as to be focused on the disc reflective surface by the objective lens in the optical pick- up block. Therefore, when checking the laser diode emission, observe from more than 30 cm away fr

21、IG ON REPAIRING On repairing CD section, playing a disc without the lid (CD), use Chuck Plate Jig. Code number of Chuck Plate Jig: X-4918-255-1 SECTION 1 SERVICING NOTES LASER DIODE AND FOCUS SEARCH OPERATION CHECK 1.Turn ON the POWER button and press CD button to CD position. 2.Open the CD lid. 3.T

22、urn on S801 with screwdriver, etc. as following figure. 4.Press the N X (CD) button. 5.Confirm the laser diode emission while observing the objecting lens. When there is no emission, Auto Power Control circuit or Optical Pick-up is broken. Objective lens moves up and down three times for focus searc

23、h. S801 PRECAUTION TO REPLACE OPTICAL BLOCK (KSM-213RDP) Body or clothes electrostatic potential could ruin laser diode in the optical block. Be sure ground body and workbench, and use care the clothes do not touch the diode. 1) After the connection, remove solder shown in the right figure. solder 5

Depending

28、 on the file structure, it may take more than a minute to read them. During this time, “Cd” flashes in the display. Tips You can use the buttons mentioned in the table on page 5 for additional operations in the same way as when playing an audio CD. During playback, you can change the display to show

29、 the folder number and file number by pressing DISPLAY on the remote. Playing a CD with MP3 files FOLDER/FILE NX x ., FUNCTION CD OPEN 1Press FUNCTION repeatedly to select the CD function. 2Press CD OPEN to open the CD compartment and place a CD with MP3 files on the CD compartment (see page 4) . 3C

Playing an audio CD or MP3 files (continued) Basic Operations 7GB Notes A folder that does not include an MP3 file is s

32、kipped. This player does not support the ID3 tag format. This player does not support a multi-session disc. The player only plays the contents recorded in the first session on a multi- session disc. Tip When connected to the TV, the folder name and file name are displayed (up to 8 characters each) o

33、n the TV screen. However, they may not be displayed correctly depending on the disc format. 34、n play CD-Rs/CD-RWs recorded in the CD- DA format* and MP3 files recorded in the CD-ROM format, but playback capability may vary depending on the quality of the disc and the condition of the recording device. * CD-DA is the abbreviation for Compact Disc Digital Audio. It is a recording standard used
