7、ck the antenna terminals, metal trim, “metallized” knobs, screws, and all other exposed metal parts for AC leakage. Check leakage as described below. LEAKAGE TEST The AC leakage from any exposed metal part to earth ground and from all exposed metal parts to any exposed metal part having a return to
8、chassis, must not exceed 0.5 mA (500 microamperes.). Leakage current can be measured by any one of three methods. 1. A commercial leakage tester, such as the Simpson 229 or RCA WT-540A. Follow the manufacturers instructions to use these instruments. 2. A battery-operated AC miliammeter. The Data Pre
9、cision 245 digital multimeter is suitable for this job. 3. Meausring the voltage drop across a resistor by means of a VOM or battery-operated AC volmeter. The “limit ” indication is 0.75 V, so analog meters must have an accurate low-voltage scale. The Simpson 250 and Sanwa SH-63Trd are examples of a
10、 passive VOM that is suitable. Nearly all battery operated digital multimeters that have a 2 V AC range are suitable. (See Fig. A) SAFETY-RELATED COMPONENT WARNING! White (L) Red (R) Ver. 1.3 STR-KG700 8 Insert two R6 (size-AA) batteries in the RM-AAU024 or RM-AAU025 remote commander. Observe the correct polarity when installing batteries. Notes Do not leave the remote
29、in an extremely hot or humid place. Do not use a new battery with old ones. Do not mix alkaline batteries and other kinds of batteries. Do not expose the remote sensor to direct sunlight or lighting apparatuses. Doing so may cause a malfunction. If you do not intend to use the remote for an extended
30、 period of time, remove the batteries to avoid possible damage from battery leakage and corrosion. When you replace the batteries, the remote buttons may be reset to their factory settings. If this happens, reassign the button again. Tip Under normal conditions, the batteries should last for about 3
31、 months. When the remote no longer operates the receiver, replace all the batteries with new ones. Inserting batteries into the remote Remote commander You can use the supplied remote RM-AAU024 (US, Canadian only) or RM-AAU025 (AEP, Australian* only) to operate the receiver and to control the Sony a

49、ower button to turn on the main power. 2. The message “S.F. CLR.” appears and initialization is performed. SOFTWARE VERSION DISPLAY MODE The software version is displayed. Procedure: 1. While pressing the and the buttons simultaneously, press the power button to turn on the main power. 2. The model name, destination and the software version are displayed.
