19、lug will fit into the power outlet only one way. This is a safety feature. If you are unable to insert the plug fully into the outlet, try reversing the plug. If the plug should still fail to fit, contact your electrician to replace your obsolete outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polar

21、ce. 13.Protective Attachment Plug The appliance is equipped with an attachment plug having overload protection. This is a safety feature. See Instruction Manual for replacement or resetting of protective device. If replacement of the plug is required, be sure the service technician has used a replac
22、ement plug specified by the manufacturer that has the same overload protection as the original plug. 14.Outdoor Antenna GroundingIf an outside antenna or cable system is connected to the video product, be sure the antenna or cable system is grounded so as to provide some protection against voltage s
23、urges and built up static charges. Section 810 of the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA No. 70 1984, provides information with respect to proper grounding of the mast and supporting structure, grounding of the lead in wire to an antenna discharge unit, size of grounding conductors, location of ant
24、enna discharge unit, connection to grounding electrodes, and requirements for the grounding electrode. See Figure 1. This will prevent damage to the video product due to lightning
28、and power line surges. 16.Power LinesAn outside antenna system should not be located in the vicinity of overhead power lines or other electric light or power circuits, or where it can fall into such power lines or circuits. When installing an outside antenna system, extreme care should be taken to k
29、eep from touching such power lines or circuits as contact with them might be fatal. 17.OverloadingDo not overload wall outlets and extension cords as this can result in a risk of fire or electric shock. 18.Object and Liquid EntryNever push objects of any kind into this video product through openings

39、HENGLISH INTRODUCTION Thank you for selecting the Marantz model CR2020 MUSIC CONSOLE for your audio system. This Stereo Cassette Deck incorporates a number of features designed to enhance the listening of your favorite audio sources. Please read these operating instructions carefully. We recommend t
40、hat you read the entire user guide before you attempt to connect or operate the unit. After you have reviewed the contents of this manual, we suggest that you make all system connections before you attempt to operate the unit. Refer to the Figures on pages 3 and 23 at the rear of this user guide. Th
41、e callout numbers on the Figures correspond to those found in the text. All references to the connections and controls that are printed in BOLD type are as they appear on the unit. PRECAUTIONS The following precautions should be taken when operating the equipment. GENERAL PRECAUTIONS When setting th
42、e equipment ensure that: the ventilation holes are not covered air is allowed to circulate freely around the equipment it is on a vibration free-surface it will not be exposed to interference from an external source it will not be exposed to excessive heat, cold, moisture or dust it will not be expo
43、sed to direct sunlight it will not be exposed to electrostatic discharges Never place heavy objects on the equipment. If a foreign body or water does enter the equipment, contact your nearest dealer or service centre. Do not pull out the plug by pulling on the mains lead, hold the plug. It is advisa
