1、 100 Corporate Drive Mahwah, NJ 07430 Service Bulletin No. : MZ01-012 Date: November 29, 2006 _ Model: SA-1/SA-14 Subject: Improvement for TOC read error, etc. Symptom: Sometimes cannot play CD and SACD, read TOC. The fuse frequently opens. Solution: 1) Exchange a motor wire. Exchange the 100 micron

2、 motor wire (flex cable) for a 35 micron type. Before the motor wire (35 micron) can be used it must be formed (see figure 1 for details). Insert a DISC (ex. BURN-IN TEST DISC) in the unit and play the outermost track (ex. Tr.20). While playing the outermost track, pull AC plug and power the player

3、off. Remove the top cover, and SACD mechanism. Remove the mechanism cover (position number: 322) from SACD mechanism. Remove the test disc from SACD mechanism. Apply 20 mm of adhesive tape to the wire socket and wire, at the SACD mechanism side. Do this after a motor wire has been replaced (refer to

4、 figure 2) . Adhesive tape should use the surely specified above-mentioned thing 2) Update firmware. Please refer to the included in the firmware update kit for update procedure details. For SA-1: file name; cdm10_d2.MOT (Ver.1001226). For SA-14: file name; cdm15_ae.MOT (Ver.1001226) 3) Change FUSE
