Symptom: The set shows a “CHECK POW 5” indication but the troubleshooting information in the service manual is vague. Solution: Use the fol

2、lowing to troubleshoot the CHECK POW 5 failure: Troubleshooting the +5V Supply If +5V input into pin 108 of IC28 is troubled check the following the checkpoints (1 4). CHECKPOINTS: 1. Turn the power-ON. Is there +5V volts on CN30/pin 7 and CN30/pin 8 of the DSP PWB. 2. (Power Amp Failure) Is the sig

3、nal on pin 31of IC28 = H? (When 31pin is in a L state for 2 seconds or longer, Abnormalities have occurred in the POWER AMP circuit.) 3. (Power line Failure) Is the signal on pin 109 of IC28 = H? (When pin109 is in a L state for 2 seconds or longer, Abnormalities have occurred to +/-12V power supply

4、 or the Power Amps power supply.) 4. (Power Down) Is the signal on pin 38 of IC28 = H?
