1、NAD 114 MODIFICATION PROBLEM: 1) Loud plop audible whilst switching the unit on as the power amplifier is already powered on. 2) No sound from headphone whilst first switching on. CAUSE: 1) The muting relays is switched on for a brief period due to the fact that the power supply is stabilizing. 2) T

2、here is a voltage dip, whilst switching the unit on causing the IC (U400) to latch up. SOLUTION: 1) Replace C 506 10F / 50V by a capacitor of 33F / 50V . 2) Connect a diode (1N4148) between pin 8 of U400 and ground. Solder the cathode side to pin 8 and the anode side to the C412 (wire most to the fr

3、ont panel). It is advisable to replace the capacitor and add the diode when the unit comes in for any service. PRODUCTION: These modifications will be implemented in the production starting with serial number M114N2601.
