This component may emit invisible, as well as visible radiation, which may cause eye damage. To protect
18、 your eyes and skin from laser radiation, the following precautions must be used during servicing of the unit. 1) When testing and/or repairing any component within the product, keep your eyes and skin more than 30 cm/1 feet away from the laser pick-up unit at all times. Do not stare at the laser be

During this time (5-10 sec.) the laser may radiate
22、 through the lens of the laser pick-up unit. Do not attempt any servicing during this period! If no disc is detected, the laser will stop emitting the beam. When a disc is loaded, you will not be exposed to any laser emissions. 2) The laser power level can be adjusted with the VR on the pick-up PWB,
23、 however, this level has been set by the factory prior to shipping from the factory. Do not adjust this laser level control unless instruction is provided elsewhere in this manual. Adjustment of this control can increase the laser emission level from the device. Type: Semiconductor laser GaAS/GaAlAs
24、 Wave length: 790 nm Output Power: 7 mW Laser Diode Properties The primary side of the power supply carries live mains voltage when the player is connected to the mains even when the player is switched off ! This primary area is not shielded so it is possible to accidentally touch copper tracks and/
25、or components when servicing the player. Service personnel have to take precautions to prevent touching this area or components in this area. Note: The screws on the Loader mechanism may never be touched, removed or re-adjusted. Handle the Loader mechanism with care when the unit has to be exchanged

27、 damaged easily by static electricity. Such components commonly are called Electrostatically Sensitive (ES) Devices. Examples of typical ES devices are integrated circuits and some field-effect transistors and semiconductor “chip” components. The following techniques should be used to help reduce th
28、e incidence of component damage caused by electro static discharge (ESD). 1. Immediately before handling any semiconductor component or semiconductor-equipped assembly, drain off any ESD on your body by touching a known earth ground. Alternatively, obtain and wear a commercially available dischargin

After removing an electrical assembly equipped with ES devices, place the assembly on a conductive surface such as aluminum foil, to prevent electrostatic charge buildup or expos

Some solder removal devices not classified as “anti-static (ESD protect- ed)” can generate electrical charge sufficient to damage ES devices. 5. Do not u

Do not remove a replacement ES device from its protective package until immediately before you are ready to install it. (Most replacement ES devices are packaged with leads electrically shorted to
32、gether by conductive foam, aluminum foil or comparable conductive material). 7. Immediately before removing the protective material from the leads of a replacement ES device, touch the protective material to the chassis or circuit assembly into which the device will be installed. CAUTION: Be sure no
33、 power is applied to the chassis or circuit, and observe all other safety precautions. 8. Minimize bodily motions when handling unpackaged replacement ES devices. (Otherwise harmless motion such as brushing together of your fabric clothes or lifting of your foot from a carpeted floor can generate st

Use the antistatic wrist strap to discharge the static electricity from your body. 2. Work table grounding. Put a conductive material (sheet) or steel sheet on the are

So take care not to let your clothes touch the optical pickup. PREVENTION OF ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE 4 MCR-B043/MCR-B043D/NS-BP83 MCR-B043/MCR-B043
