1、 Page 1 of 1 Technical Bulletin L53 Product: DVD Receiver Software Technical Bulletin: L53-S2005-01R Date: March 17/05 Subject: Software Upgrade Procedure for L53 Note: L53 Software Upgrade Procedure Warning: If the front panel keys or remote keys are pressed (or the tray is closed) during the upgra
2、de process (steps 6 thru 9) this could permanently delete the software and the unit will not come out of standby. Please check software version first by performing steps 1, 2 and 3. This will display a screen with text showing the current software version. To identify the version, look at the left h
3、and column, second line down from the top. The letters, BE VER are shown. Look across to the right and the software version will be shown. As an example, software version 086, will display NL530086/NTSC or NL530086/PAL depending on the units tv system. Higher software versions will be displayed with
4、 the last three digits changing (ie. 086, 087, etc). 1. Start with unit powered up and in STANDBY mode. 2. Press the “OPEN” button ( ) on the remote control of the unit. 3. On the remote control, press the following buttons in order: CLEAR 2 5 8 0 CLEAR 4. Place the upgrade CD in the DVD tray of the
5、 unit 5. On the remote control, press the “PROGRAM” button 6. On the screen, you will see a message saying: READ 7. Once the upgrade CD has been read, the tray will open automatically. 8. Leaving the tray open, take the upgrade CD out of the tray. 9. Wait for the unit to finish upgrading. It will go
6、 through the WRITE and VERIFY steps. 10. Once the unit finishes upgrading, tray closes automatically, it will restart and show “NO DISC”. 11. Put the unit into STANDBY. 12. Repeat Steps 2-3 13. On the remote control, press the CLEAR button four times. 14. Put the unit into STANDBY again, the tray wi
7、ll close automatically. 15. Take the unit out of STANDBY (turn it ON) 16. Change input to FM, using the front panel button called “INPUT SELECT” 17. Important: Factory reset, press the following buttons, in order, quickly on the front panel of the unit: PLAY/PAUSE STOP DISPLAY (hold this button until unit restarts) 18. Step 17 is required to ensure proper operation of the unit.
