、DSP/AC3 Theory of Operation In order to easily diagnose the operation of the DSP/AC3 board one must have an understanding of its operation. The below circuit description is provided to familiarize you with its functions and how an audio signal is processed by the circuit. The DSP/AC3 provides two ba

、sic functions, analog signal processing and digital signal processing. For a better understanding of its operation refer to the IC block diagrams. We will cover the analog signal flow first and then the digital. The right and left analog signal enter the board via CP401 pins 7 and 9 respectably, IC1

、1 and 12 then amplify the signals. Once amplified the signals are sent to IC1 pins 16 and 20. IC1 converts the analog signal to a digital signal and it exits IC1 as a Serial Digital signal, SDOUT, on pin 4. The SD signal is then sent to IC5 pin 27 for processing. IC5 determines if the signal is a st

、andard surround sound signal or Dolby ProLogic signal. The function of IC5 is determined by data from IC19. IC19 acts as a buffer for data from the main system control microprocessor. These signals will determine if the DSP IC, IC5, is in the Dolby ProLogic, concert, stadium, theater, church, arena,

、 or club mode. The digital signal is then processed by IC5 and exits as three digital signals at pins 39, 40 and 41. These signals then enter IC1on pins 1, 2 and 3. IC1 decodes the three digital signals into appropriate analog signals and processes them out pins 23 through 26 to IC6, 7 and 8. IC6, 7

、 and 8 then amplify the signal and it is processed out CP402 pins 1(LF), 3(RF), 5(C), 7(S-L), 9(S-R) and 11(SW). A digital signal can be provided by either the COAX-IN or Optical cable. The Coax in is delivered to IC14 pin 4 and the Optical signal is delivered to IC14 pin 12. The digital signal cont

、ains the audio information and a timing or clock signal. The clock is processed by IC14 and OCLK exits on pin 16 and OLRCK at pin 17. The two clock signal are then buffered by IC18 and sent on to IC1 and IC5 for timing. The digital audio is processed into an SD (Serial Digital) signal and processed

、out pin 18 to pin 22 of IC5. IC5 then determines if the signal is an AC-3 or DTS signal. As in the analog mod, the data from IC19 determines the mode of the DSP. After being processed by IC5 the Digital signal exits IC5 as three digital signals on pin 39, 40 and 41. These signals then enter IC1on pi

、ns 1, 2 and 3. IC1 decodes the three digital signals into appropriate analog signals and processes them out pins 23 through 26 to IC6, 7 and 8. IC6, 7 and 8 then amplify the signal and it is processed out CP402 pins 1(LF), 3(RF), 5(C), 7(S-L), 9(S-R) and 11(SW). RadioFans.CN 收音机爱 好者资料库 RadioFans.CN
