1、Description The A-Ser ies Ter minal Boot is designed to offer added pr otection against the effects of weather on wir es and connections made to NEAR A-Ser ies speaker model types A2, A6, and A8. The ASTB4 package contains 4 ter minal boots. Note: The ASTB4 will not fit the NEAR A12 model. Installat

2、ion 1. If necessar y, tr im the taper ing boot sl eeve to accommodate the size of the wir e bundl e to be attached to the speaker (adjust for a snug fit). 2. Sl ide the nar r ow end of the boot sl eeve over the wir es. Cr imp any l ugs onto the wir es after inser ting the wir es thr ough the boot sl

3、 eeve. 3. Secur e the wir es to the ter minal s and then sl ide the ter minal boot into pl ace over the ter minal s, pr essing it fir ml y against the ter minal str ip for a secur e fit. The boot onl y fits pr oper l y in one or ientation. Additional Protection The ter minal boot does not pr ovide a

4、 water tight seal for the ter minal str ip. It is onl y designed to minimize the dir ect effects of weather on the wir es and connections. Sil icone-based caul ks can be used to impr ove the seal of the boot to the speaker ter minal ar ea. If desir ed, appl y a bead to the base of the boot befor e p

5、r essing it onto the ter minal . Sil icone seal ents with adhesive pr oper ties adher e better than pur e sil icone pr oducts. The boot sl eeve exit can al so be seal ed, however , be cer tain to caul k it so that the caul k can be r emoved l ater in case the boot needs to be r emoved. Speci fi cat

7、using and the bracket for the boot sleeve to pass between them. Therefore, it is important to install the boot while the speaker is in its approximate final tilt position.
