4、ormance for years to come. To get the maximum benefit from your Bogen product, please read all instructional materials provided with the unit. Unpacking The TP-30D is carefully checked before leaving the factory. Inspect the shipping carton and unit for dam- age caused by improper handling. If damag
5、e is found you must file a claim with the transportation company that delivered the product. WARNING To Prevent Fire or Shock Hazard, Do Not Expose This Appliance to Rain or Moisture. Antenna Connection FM Dipole Antenna The indoor dipole antenna provided should be ade- quate for normal FM reception
6、. 1. Connect the antenna leads to the two terminals marked 300 OHM BAL. 2. 7、l antenna installed in accordance with National Electric Codes, is required. 1. Connect the external antenna leads to the 300 OHM BAL terminals. For applications using coaxial cable, a 75 OHM coaxial cable connector is provided. AM Loopstick Antenna The TP-30D is provided with an external AM antenna
8、 for AM reception. 1. Carefully pull the antenna lead from the holding notch in the antenna and unwind the lead from the loop. 2. Connect the antenna leads to the terminals marked AM ANT. 3. Fold the antenna so that it snaps into the base forming a free-standing unit (see diagram). 4. Position the a
9、ntenna for best reception. If desired, the antenna may be permanently mounted using screws through the two holes in the base. BaseLead 5020-01.qxd 3/9/01 9:20 AM Page 4 Audio Connections Two audio patch cords are provided to make audio connections. One cord is a stereo patch cord (2 RCA plugs at eac
10、h end) and one is a stereo-to-mono cord (2 connectors at one end, 1 connector at the other end). 1. Connect the two plugs from one end of either cord to the R and L OUTPUT terminals on the TP-30D. 2. Connect the other end of the cable to the high- level input (AUX, HI-Z TUNER) of an audio pre- ampli
11、fier. Operation Power Press the front panel POWER switch to apply power. Adjust the volume to the appropriate level using the amplifier volume controls. To Select a Band Press the button marked BAND. The current band appears on the display: FM1, FM2, FM3, AM1 or AM2. You can preset up to six station
12、s on each band for a total of 30 preset stations (18 FM and 12 AM). To Tune a Station Press the UP or DOWN buttons. 5020-01.qxd 3/9/01 9:20 AM Page 5 To Preset Stations 1. Select a band and tune the first desired station. 2. Press the ME button and then one of the “M” but- tons; for example, M1. (Th
13、e preset number appears on the display as: CH1CH1.) 3. Tune the next station, press ME and the M2 but- ton, etc., for the 2nd through 6th preset. To Scan Preset Stations 1. Select a band. The first preset station (CH1CH1) will appear on the display. 2. Press the button marked MSCAN. Each preset stat
14、ion will play for a few moments in turn while scanning. 3. To select a station during scanning, press the “M” button that corresponds to the CHCH number on the display. 5020-01.qxd 3/9/01 9:20 AM Page 6 Maintenance CAUTION There are no user serviceable parts within the tuner. To avoid an electric sh
15、ock hazard, refer all internal servicing to qualified service person- nel only. The warranty will become void if repairs are made by other than the Bogen Factory Service Center. We are interested in the maintenance of your Bogen equipment. In the event of any difficulty, do not hesi- tate to ask our

When communicating with us, please give the model number of your unit. Describe the difficulty encoun- tered and include details on the electrical connec- tions to associated equipment.
