1、Line Input/Line Output Matching Transformer Model WMT1A The Bogen WMT1A Line Input /Line Out put Mat ching Tr ansfor mer is designed t o mat ch eit her a high-impedance input , or out put of an amplifier , t o a 500/600- ohm line. It may be used t o connect t elephone syst ems t o most amplifier s,

2、or for dist r ibut ing backgr ound music t hat is t r ansmit t ed over leased t elephone lines. The unit also funct ions as an out put -mat ching t r ansfor mer t o feed pr o- gr am mat er ial over a 500/600-ohm t elephone line for t r ansmission t o a local br oadcast st udio. The WMT1A pr ovides a

3、n impedance mat ch bet ween t he 500/600-ohm balanced line and t he high-impedance (auxiliar y) input of t he amplifier , or t he 25-volt out put of t he amplifier . The 500/600-ohm line input or out put connect ions ar e made t o a scr ew t er minal st r ip. Connect ion t o t he amplifier is pr ovi

4、ded by a shielded cable t er minat ed in an RCA phono plug. Mount ing flanges ar e pr ovided t o mount t he WMT1A t o t he amplifier chassis or backboar d. No wir ing or solder ing is r equir ed for making connect ions in most cases. A jumper is easily r eposit ioned when connect ing t he WMT1A high

5、- impedance out put t o t he MIC input of t he amplifier . 7、 fr om t he 500/600-ohm line t o t he t er minal boar d on t he WMT1A. For a balanced line, t he shield is connect ed t o t he cent er t er minal. 2. Inser t t he phono plug of t he WMT1A t o a high-impedance r ecept acle on t he amplifier , usually t he AUX r ecept acle. 3. If t he AUX input is alr

8、 eady in use, t he WMT1A phono plug may be connect ed t o one of t he MIC input s of t he amplifier , aft er following t he inst r uct ions below for MODIFICATION FOR MIC INPUT. Note With amplifiers which utilize a fader-type volume control for two AUX Channels, it is advisable to connect the WMT1A

9、to a MIC input even though only one of the AUX inputs is in use. MODIFICATION FOR MIC INPUT The WMT1A includes a jumper connect ion t o per mit it t o feed int o a micr ophone input . The input may be Hi-Z or Lo-Z, balanced or unbalanced. The cir cuit uses a 150-ohm r esist or t o divide t he signal

10、 down t o one-hundr edt h of t hat nor mally obt ained fr om t he secondar y. Refer t o Figur e 2 for jumper locat ion and posit ion. To connect t o t er minal st r ip-t ype input s, clip off t he phono plug and connect t he shield t o t he gr ound t er minal and t he cent er conduct or t o one of t h

12、e r emaining t er minals. OUTPUT MATCHING TRANSFORMER To mat ch t he out put t o a 500/600-ohm line, pr oceed as follows: 1. Connect t he 500/600-ohm line t o t he scr ew t er minal st r ip on t he WMT1A. For a balanced line, t he shield is connect ed t o t he cent er scr ew t er minal. 2. Inser t t

13、 he RCA phono plug of t he WMT1A int o t he r ecept acle mar ked WMT1A HI-Z OUTPUT on t he amplifier chassis. If t his r ecept acle is not available, r emove t he RCA phono plug fr om t he WMT1A cable and make connect ions t o t he 25-volt out put of t he amplifier . Connect t he cent er lead of t h

14、e cable t o t he out put t er minal mar ked 25V, and t he shield t o COM/Gr ound.
