Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose the unit to moistu
2、re or water. Do not allow foreign objects to get into the enclosure. If the unit is exposed to moisture, or a foreign object gets into the enclosure, immedi- ately disconnect the power cord from the wall. Take the unit to a qualified ser- vice person for inspection and necessary repairs. Read all th
3、e instructions before connecting or operating the component. Keep this manual so you can refer to these safety instructions. Heed all warnings and safety information in these instructions and on the product itself. Fol- low all operating instructions. Clean the enclosure only with a dry cloth or a v
4、acuum cleaner. Do not use benzene, thinner or other organic solvents and disinfectants. These may cause deformation or discoloring. You must allow a minimum of 10 cm (46 inches) of unobstructed clearance around the unit. Do not place the unit on a bed, sofa, rug, or similar surface that could block
5、the ventilation slots. If the component is placed in a bookcase or cabinet, there must be ventilation of the cabinet to allow proper cooling. Keep the component away from radiators, heat registers, stoves, or any other appliance that produces heat. The unit must be connected to a power supply only o
6、f the type and voltage specified on the rear panel of the unit. Connect the component to the power outlet only with the supplied power supply cable or an exact equivalent. Do not modify the supplied cable in any way. Do not attempt to defeat grounding and/or polarization provisions. Do not use exten
7、sion cords. The main plug of the power cordset is a disconnect device of the apparatus. In order to com- pletely disconnect the apparatus from the supply mains, the main plug of the power cordset should be unplugged from the mains outlet. The stand-by LED indicator will not be lit up to show the pow
8、er cord is unplugged. Do not route the power cord where it will be crushed, pinched, bent at severe angles, exposed to heat, or damaged in any way. Pay particular attention to the power cord at the plug and where it exits the back of the unit. The power cord should be unplugged from the wall outlet
9、if the unit is to be left unused for a long period of time. Immediately stop using the component and have it inspected and/or serviced by a qualified service agency if: The power supply cord or plug has been damaged. Objects have fallen or liquid has been spilled into the unit. The unit has been exp
10、osed to rain. The unit shows signs of improper operation The unit has been dropped or damaged in any way Place the unit on a fixed, level surface strong enough to support its weight. Do not place it on a moveable cart that could tip over. This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the l
11、imits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protec- tion against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment gene rates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in
12、accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio commu- nications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular instal- lation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by t
13、urning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to cor- rect the interference by one or more of the following measures: Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different f

19、rol mode and the DVD player control mode. 2OPEN/CLOSE button Opens and closes the disc tray. 3Repeat button Switches the RDV-1050 among “no repeat” mode, “repeat 1” mode and to “repeat all” mode. 4Numeric buttons In DVD/CD mode use these to select a title or track number, to enter a time for the Tim
20、e search. In TV mode they are used to select a TV channel. 5SUBTITLE button Used to activate the on-screen subtitle selection dis- play and to turn the subtitle on or off (for DVD VIDEO). 6ANGLE button Changes camera angles during playback of a DVD VIDEO disc containing multiple camera angles. 7PAGE
21、 button Lets you select from the available still pictures when playing an DVD AUDIO disc. 8 TITLE/GROUP button Used to select a Title when playing a DVD VIDEO disc, and to select a Group when playing a DVD AUDIO disc. 9/PREVIOUS button Skips back a chapter, title or track. Also used for the page sel
22、ection of a menu screen (for DVD VIDEO/ Video CD). Holding down this button during play- back rapidly scans to earlier scenes. 10 (STOP)/CLEAR button Stops playback. Also used to erase all the programmed tracks for the program play. 11/SLOW button During playback lets you reverse disc play at 1.5 to
23、 60 times normal speed. When disc play is paused press to reverse disc play at 1/2 to 1/32 normal speed. 12TOP MENU button Press to display a menu to select specific scenes on a disc. 13VOLUME /CURSOR ? Button When in TV mode press to reduce volume. When in DVD mode press to select an item from a me
24、nu or on-screen display, or to change the setting of an item in the on-screen display. 14CHANNEL /CURSOR ? Button When in TV mode press to go to a lower channel. When in DVD mode press to select an item from a menu or on-screen display, or to change the setting of an item in the on-screen display. 1
25、5CHOICE button Displays the DVD set-up menu. Is also used when selecting parental lock settings 16Infrared signal output window Point this toward the remote sensor on the front panel when pressing buttons. 17DVD POWER button 18TV POWER button Press to turn the RDV-1050 or your TV on or off (standby)
26、. 19RETURN button Returns to the previous menu (for SVCD/Video CD). 20DIMMER button Adjusts the brightness or turns off the display. 21VSS button Turn on/off the simulated Virtual Surround Sound system. 22+10/MUTING button Used when selecting or programming numbered tracks or scenes above 10. Also u
27、sed to mute the TV sound. 23TV/VIDEO/CANCEL button Used to switch inputs when controlling the TV. Used to remove selected items when setting up programmed track play. Also used when setting up the RR-DV96 to control the TV. 24AUDIO/fs/RATE button Press and release to select various audio options dur
28、ing disc play. Press and hold for a few seconds to select the sampling frequency and bit length. 25ZOOM button When viewing video discs allows the image on the screen to be enlarged from 1.8 to 64 times normal size. 26VFP/PROG SCAN button Press and release to select the VFP function which sets video
29、 play properties. Press and hold for a few seconds to select progressive or interlace scan out- put. (With U.S. version the Video Signal Selector switch must be set to Remote to use this function. See the Audio/Video Connections section.) 27/NEXT button Skips forward a chapter, title or track. Holdi
30、ng down this button during playback advances playback rap- idly. 28II (PAUSE) button Pauses playback. 29? (PLAY)/SELECT button Starts playback. SELECT function is not used. 30/SLOW button During playback lets you advance disc play at 1.5 to 60 times normal speed. When disc play is paused press to ad
31、vance disc play at 1/2 to 1/32 normal speed. 31MENU button Displays various menus that let you select items from the disc. 32CHANNEL +/CURSOR ? Button When in TV mode press to go to a higher channel. When in DVD mode press to select an item from a menu or on-screen display, or to change the setting
32、of an item in the on-screen display. 33VOLUME +/CURSOR ? Button When in TV mode press to increase volume. When in DVD mode press to select an item from a menu or on-screen display, or to change the setting of an item in the on-screen display. 34ON SCREEN Button Displays various menus on the screen t
33、hat let you select control and programing functions. 35ENTER button Press to accept various selections such as channels selected with the numeric buttons or in some program- ming steps. 36PAL/NTSC button European Version Only. Select a PAL or NTSC out- put signal when the Video Signal Selector switc

Disc tray Used to load discs. Display Window Shows various indicators and information about the operation of th

OPN/CLS (OPEN/CLOSE) button Opens and closes the disc tray. (STOP) button Stops playback. Also used to erase all pro- grammed tracks for the
38、 program play. II (PAUSE) button Pauses playback. (SKIP) buttons Used to skip a chapter, title or track. Also used for the page selection of a menu screen (for DVD Video/Video CD). DIGITAL OUT COAXIAL jack DIGITAL OUT OPTICAL jack Provide digital output signals. The output you use (Optical or Coaxial) must be set in the
40、“Pref- erence” on-screen menu. COMPOSITE VIDEO OUTPUT jack Outputs a composite video signal. S VIDEO OUTPUT jack Outputs an S-video signal. COMPONENT VIDEO OUTPUT jacks Outputs component video signals. External Remote Input (“Ext Rem In”) This feature is useful when the unit is installed in a cabine
41、t and the front panel IR sensor is blocked. AC power cord receptacle For the power cord connected to the wall outlet. US Version Video Signal Selector Changes the output signal between Interlaced and Progressive scanning or allows the set- ting to be changes with the RR-DV96 remote. NTSC/PAL Output
42、Selector Selects NTSC and PAL output signals. European Version NTSC/PAL Output Selector Changes the output signal between PAL and NTSC or allows the setting to be changed with the RR-DV96 remote. RGB/Composite Y/C Selector Selects the appropriate type of signal when the SCART connector is used and t
43、he NTSC/PAL OUTPUT Selector switch is set to PAL. SCART Output Connector Allows for easy one connector hook-up to TVs that have SCART inputs.
