4、 1Important Safety Precautions1.1 Safety Precautions(1) This design of this product contains special hardware andmany circuits and components specially for safety purposes.For continued protection, no changes should be made to theoriginal design unless authorized in writing by the man-ufacturer. Rep

5、lacement parts must be identical to thoseused in the original circuits. Services should be per-formed by qualified personnel only.(2) Alterations of the design or circuitry of the product shouldnot be made. Any design alterations of the product shouldnot be made. Any design alterations or additions

6、will voidthe manufacturers warranty and will further relieve themanufacture of responsibility for personal injury or propertydamage resulting therefrom.(3) Many electrical and mechanical parts in the products havespecial safety-related characteristics. These characteris-tics are often not evident fr

7、om visual inspection nor can theprotection afforded by them necessarily be obtained by us-ing replacement components rated for higher voltage, watt-age, etc. Replacement parts which have these special safetycharacteristics are identified in the Parts List of Service Manu-al. Electrical components ha

8、ving such features are iden-tified by shading on the schematics and by ( ) on theParts List in the Service Manual. The use of a substitute re-placement which does not have the same safety character-istics as the recommended replacement parts shown in theParts List of Service Manual may create shock,

9、 fire, or oth-er hazards.(4) The leads in the products are routed and dressed with ties,clamps, tubings, barriers and the like to be separated fromlive parts, high temperature parts, moving parts and/orsharp edges for the prevention of electric shock and firehazard. When service is required, the ori

10、ginal lead routingand dress should be observed, and it should be confirmedthat they have been returned to normal, after reassembling.(5) Leakage shock hazard testing)After reassembling the product, always perform an isolationcheck on the exposed metal parts of the product (antennaterminals, knobs, m

11、etal cabinet, screw heads, headphonejack, control shafts, etc.) to be sure the product is safe tooperate without danger of electrical shock.Do not use a line isolation transformer during this check. Plug the AC line cord directly into the AC outlet. Using a“Leakage Current Tester“, measure the leaka

12、ge currentfrom each exposed metal parts of the cabinet, particular-ly any exposed metal part having a return path to thechassis, to a known good earth ground. Any leakage cur-rent must not exceed 0.5mA AC (r.m.s.). Alternate check methodPlug the AC line cord directly into the AC outlet. Use an ACvol

13、tmeter having, 1,000 ohms per volt or more sensitivity inthe following manner. Connect a 1,500 ohm 10W resistorparalleled by a 0.15 F AC-type capacitor between anexposed metal part and a known good earth ground.Measure the AC voltage across the resistor with the ACvoltmeter. Move the resistor connec

14、tion to each exposed metal part,particularly any exposed metal part having a return path tothe chassis, and measure the AC voltage across the resistor.Now, reverse the plug in the AC outlet and repeat eachmeasurement. Voltage measured any must not exceed 0.75V AC (r.m.s.). This corresponds to 0.5 mA

15、 AC (r.m.s.). 1.2 Warning(1) This equipment has been designed and manufactured tomeet international safety standards.(2) It is the legal responsibility of the repairer to ensure thatthese safety standards are maintained.(3) Repairs must be made in accordance with the relevantsafety standards.(4) It

16、is essential that safety critical components are replacedby approved parts.(5) If mains voltage selector is provided, check setting for localvoltage.1.3 CautionBurrs formed during molding may be left over on some partsof the chassis. Therefore, pay attention to such burrs in the case of pre-forming

17、repair of this system.1.4 Critical parts for safetyIn regard with component parts appearing on the silk-screenprinted side (parts side) of the PWB diagrams, the parts that areprinted over with black such as the resistor ( ), diode ( )and ICP ( ) or identified by the “ “ mark nearby are criticalfor s

18、afety. When replacing them, be sure to use the parts of the same typeand rating as specified by the manufacturer. (Except the JC version)UX-J60(No.22029)1-31.5 Safety Precautions (U.K only)(1) This design of this product contains special hardware and many circuits and components specially for safety

26、-4 (No.22029)1.6 Preventing static electricityElectrostatic discharge (ESD), which occurs when static electricity stored in the body, fabric, etc. is discharged, can destroy the laser diode in the traverse unit (optical pickup). Take care to prevent this when performing repairs.1.6.1 Grounding to pr

27、event damage by static electricityStatic electricity in the work area can destroy the optical pickup (laser diode) in devices such as CD players. Be careful to use proper grounding in the area where repairs are being performed. (1) Ground the workbenchGround the workbench by laying conductive materi

28、al (such as a conductive sheet) or an iron plate over it before placing thetraverse unit (optical pickup) on it.(2) Ground yourselfUse an anti-static wrist strap to release any static electricity built up in your body. (3) Handling the optical pickup In order to maintain quality during transport and

29、 before installation, both sides of the laser diode on the replacement opticalpickup are shorted. After replacement, return the shorted parts to their original condition. (Refer to the text.) Do not use a tester to check the condition of the laser diode in the optical pickup. The testers internal po

30、wer source can easilydestroy the laser diode. 1.7 Handling the traverse unit (optical pickup)(1) Do not subject the traverse unit (optical pickup) to strong shocks, as it is a sensitive, complex unit. (2) Cut off the shorted part of the flexible cable using nippers, etc. after replacing the optical

31、pickup. For specific details, refer to the replace-ment procedure in the text. Remove the anti-static pin when replacing the traverse unit. Be careful not to take too long a timewhen attaching it to the connector. (3) Handle the flexible cable carefully as it may break when subjected to strong force

32、. (4) I t is not possible to adjust the semi-fixed resistor that adjusts the laser power. Do not turn it.1.8 Attention when traverse unit is decomposed*Please refer to “Disassembly method“ in the text for the CD pickup unit. Apply solder to the short land sections before the flexible wire is disconn

33、ected from the connector CN101 on the CD servo board. (If the flexible wire is disconnected without applying solder, the CD pickup may be destroyed by static electricity.) In the assembly, be sure to remove solder from the short land sections after connecting the flexible wire.CN601 onmechanismboard

42、1.4 Removing the tuner board (See Fig.7) Prior to performing the following procedure, remove the metalcover.(1) Disconnect the card wire from the connector CN1 on thetuner board.(2) Remove the two screws F on the rear side and the screwG in the side.Fig.72.1.5 Removing the CD-R/RW mechanism assembly

45、 the rear cover, the rear panel, the tuner board and theCD-R/RW mechanism assembly.(1) Remove the two screws H attaching the main board.(2) Disconnect the card wire from the connector CN900,CN901, CN930, CN931 and CN932, and disconnect theflat wire from the connector CN913, CN917 and CN918 onthe mai

46、n board.(3) Remove the band and disconnect the flat wire from theconnector CN951 on the power transformer assembly, andthen remove the main board / the heat sink board / thespeaker jack board from the body.(4) Release the two joints f of the main board and disconnectthe connector CN944 and CN945 of

47、the heat sink boardfrom the connector CN912 and CN911 of the main boardrespectively, and disconnect the flat wire from the connec-tor CN914 and CN915, and remove.(5) Remove the screw I attaching the speaker jack board anddisconnect the flat wire from the connector CN946 andCN947 on the heat sink boa
