12、(between 5C and35C or 41F and 95F). Leave sufficient distance between the unit and a TV set. Be sure to place the unit in a location with good ventilation. Do not use the unit in a place subject to vibrations. Do not place the unit on a carpet. Do not place the unit on top of another heat-generating

13、 piece of equipment.Power cord Do not handle the power cord with wet hands! When unplugging the unit from the wall outlet, always pull the plug, not the powercord.Malfunctions, etc. There are no user serviceable parts inside. 38、.Cautions Use only the JVC AC power cord provided with this unit toavoid malfunction or damage to the unit. Be sure to unplug the power cord from the outlet whengoing out or when the unit is not in use for an extendedperiod of time.Turning the Power On and OffPower On1 Press POWER on the main unit o

39、r on the remote controlunit.The STANDBY indicator goes out, the disc indicator lights in green, and the displaycomes on. The MD indicator lights up on the display.When no MD is loaded:“NO DISC” is shown on the display.When an MD is already loaded:The following messages are shown on the display in su

40、ccession. “TOC Reading” The disc title, if the MD has. Number of tracks and the total playing time of the MDYou can play the MD by pressing 6 on the main unit or 3 on the remote control unit.For detailed description, see “Playback” on the next page.Power Off1 Press POWER again.The STANDBY indicator

When no MD is loaded yet,“NO DISC” is shown on the display.1 Load an MD.Hold an MD with the side on which anarrow is marked facing up, and insert it intothe slot in the direction of the arrow.The MD will be pulled in automaticallyfrom the middle. If the MD has a disc title, th

44、e displayshows the disc title then the number oftracks and total playing time of the MD. The tracks in the MD appear on themusic calendar.Note: To allow easy insertion, insert the MD along the upper part of the MD insertionslot.Caution Do not fail to observe the MD insertion direction, otherwisea malfunction will result.Shortcut:You can insert an MD in Standby mode.
