5、;If your system is equipped with a VoltageSelector, set the VOLTAGE SELECTOR to thelocal power line voltage.All other connections havebeen made.WARNING! For optimal performance, use only theoriginal power cable.Never make or change any connectionswith the power switched on.Toavoid overheating of the

6、 system, asafetycircuit has been built in.Therefore,yoursystem may switch to Standby modeautomatically under extreme conditions.Ifthis happens,let the system cool downbeforereusing it (not available for all versions).BAntennas Connection Connect the supplied AM loop antenna and FMantenna to the resp

11、uipment to yoursystem Use a cinch cable to connect AUX/CDR INtothe analogue audio out terminals of an externalequipment (TV, VCR,Laser Disc player, DVDplayer or CD Recorder).Note: If you are connecting equipment with a monooutput (a single audio out terminal), connect it to the AUX/CDR IN left termi

12、nal. Alternatively, youcan use a “single to double”cinch cable (the outputsound still remain mono). Inserting batteries into theremote controlInserttwo batteries type R03 or AAA (notsupplied) into the remote control with the correct polarity as indicated bythe “+“ and“-“ symbols inside the battery c

13、ompartment.CAUTION!Remove batteries if they are exhaustedor will not be used for a long time.Do not use old and new or differenttypes of batteries in combination. 25、is a risk of electric shock.If a fault occurs,first check the points listed below before taking the system for repair. If youare unable to solve a problem byfollowing these hints,consult your dealer or service centre.ProblemSolutionCD OPERATION“NO DISC”is displayed.Insert a disc.Check if the disc is

26、 inserted upside down.Wait until the moisture condensation at the lenshas cleared.Replace or clean the disc, see “Maintenance”.“DISC NOT FINALIZED”is displayed.Use a finalised CD-RWor CD-R.MaintenanceCleaning the Cabinet Use a soft cloth slightly moistened with a mild detergent solution.Do not use a

27、 solutioncontaining alcohol, spirits,ammonia or abrasives.Cleaning Discs When a disc becomes dirty,clean it with a cleaning cloth. Wipe the disc from the centre out. Do not wipe in circular motion. Do not use solvents such asbenzene, thinner, commercially available cleaners,or antistatic spray inten

28、ded for analogue records.Cleaning the disc lens After prolonged use, dirtor dust mayaccumulate at the disc lens.Toensure goodplayback quality, clean the disc lens with PhilipsCD Lens Cleaner or any commercially availablecleaner. Follow the instructions supplied withcleaner.Cleaning the Heads and the

29、 Tape PathsToensure good recording and playback quality,clean the heads Aand B, the capstan(s) C,and pressure roller(s) Dafter every 50 hoursof tape operation.Use a cotton swab slightly moistened with cleaning fluid or alcohol.You also can clean the heads by playing acleaning tape once.Demagnetising

30、 the heads Use a demagnetising tape available at yourdealer.TroubleshootingRADIO RECEPTIONRadio reception is poor.If the signal is too weak,adjust the antenna orconnect an external antenna for better reception.Increase the distance between the Mini HiFiSystem and your TV or VCR.TAPE OPERATION/RECORD
