For users in the U.K.:please follow theinstructions on page 2-2.APowerBefore connecting the ACpower cord to t
5、hewall outlet, ensure that all other connections have been made.WARNING!For optimal performance, use only theoriginal power cable.Never make or change connections withthe power switched on.Toavoid overheating of the system,a safetycircuit has been built in.Therefore,yoursystem mayswitch to Standby m
6、odeautomatically under extreme conditions.Ifthis happens,let the system cool downbefore reusing it (not available for all versions).BAntennas Connection Connect the supplied AM loop antenna and FMantenna to the respective terminals.Adjust theposition of the antenna for optimal reception.AM AntennaFi

11、le).Use a cinch cable to connect the LINE OUTterminals to the analogue audio in terminals ofthe equipment.Connecting other equipment to yoursystemConnect the audio left and right OUT terminalsof a TV,VCR,Laser Disc player,DVD player orCD Recorder to the AUX/CDR INterminals.Notes: Do not connect equi
12、pment to both the LINEOUT and AUX/CDR IN terminals at the same time.Otherwise, noise will be generated and malfunctionmight occur.If you are connecting equipment with a monooutput (a single audio out terminal), connect it tothe AUX/CDR IN left terminal.Alternatively, youcan use a “single to double”c
13、inch cable (still bemono sound).Digital Out Connection Connect this digital output when recording on any audio equipment with digital input (CD Recorder, Digital Audio Tape DAT deck,Digitalto Analogue Converter and Digital SignalProcessor, for example).Use a cinch cable toconnect the DIGITAL OUTterm
14、inal to thedigital input terminal of the equipment.Inserting batteries into theRemote ControlInsert two batteries (Type R06 or AA) into theremote control with the correct polarity asindicated by the +and -symbols inside thebattery compartment.12CAUTION!Remove batteries if they are exhaustedor not to
15、 be used for a long time.Do not use old and new or differenttypes of batteries in combination. 16、 an approved13Amp plug.Tochange a fuse in this type of plugproceed as follows:1Remove fuse cover and fuse.2Fix new fuse which should be a BS1362 5 Amp,A.S.T.A.or BSI approved type.3Refit the fuse cover.If the fitted plug is not suitable for your socketoutlets,it should be cut off and an appropriatep
17、lug fitted in its place.If the mains plug contains a fuse, this shouldhave a value of 5 Amp. If a plug without a fuseis used,the fuse at the distribution boardshould not be greater than 5 Amp.Note:Thesevered plug must be disposed of toavoid a possible shock hazard should it beinserted into a 13 Amp
18、socket elsewhere.How to connect a plugThe wires in the mains lead are coloured with the following code:blue = neutral (N),brown = live (L).As these colours may not correspond with thecolour markings identifying the terminals inyour plug,proceed as follows:Connect the blue wire to the terminalmarked
19、N or coloured black.Connect the brown wire to the terminalmarked L or coloured red.Do not connect either wire to the earthterminal in the plug,marked E (or e) orcoloured green (or green and yellow).Before replacing the plug cover,make certainthat the cord grip is clamped over the sheathof the lead -
